Greetings:
There are still a few of us clans that occasionally use the JediKnight.net IP Board, and Q-Tracker.
You don't know me(probably), but I'll have to admit that it is nice to see you still around Kurgan. I believe that I read a very interesting and sincere editorial that you wrote long ago over at JKMAG.
It is a shame that everything now is Zone oriented, it makes my head hurt just thinking about all of those 12 year old hackers and flooders in Nar.
I like the idea of this board, I just dunno if it will catch on.

Well it's been around forever. I think the trick is to tell all these newbies and newcomers about it. I'm willing to bet most people don't even know it exists!
Btw, thanks, I have fun. ; )

www.ldb.org.uk is what we're all about. I'm afraid we're still stinking up the Zone though :-)

Well, bad as the Zone is, we can't deny that's where the majority of the JKers go to play.. simply because they were brought up with it, or that that's where the most games are (variety, variety, variety).
The Zone has improved since it first started supporting JK, but when I can avoid going there to play, I do. I'd much rather go against seasoned players and polite newbies (who play on IP), than arrogant, foul-mouthed, semi-hackers with long strings of acronyms in front of their names and their wannabe newbie followers who play on the zone!*
* KST Note: Kurgan was using exaggeration here. Not all folks who play on the Zone are like this, a few are, and Kurgan has met too many of these "lamerZ" there unfortunately, and he has a jaded view of the Zone as a result. The Kurgan Support Team (KST, inc.) apologizes for any feelings that were hurt by Kurgan's last statements.

I know what you mean Kurgan. There are way too many lamebrains on the zone who think they are great etc. They can be so arrogant. Rest assured the LDB are ont he way to try and change this (well, we're trying to become a positive image on the Zone at least! )

Hell yeah -the Lucky Despot Boyz (LDB)are out there. We can be found in the cantina on a sunday night en masse, and dotted about the zone during the week, although again you can probably find us in the cantina having and Alderann whisky or 3.

We've been around for a while, but under different names. And I can really relate to Kurgan, I have met far too many idiots on the zone. But its sometimes fun, you know, when you get into a game and start whipping their asses. They are so predictable, first they say "You wont die! I hit you a THOUSAND times!!!", and before you have time to explain the concept of lag its "YOUR HACKING!!! HACKER!", then your booted.

Yeah, I've take to titling my games simply "NO WHINERS" and then just hosting my own. If people aren't there to play, they get the boot, easy. ; )
And Kicker Helper is handy, just in case...

Hey, That's why I'm against the large formal groups such as clans for JK and Squadrons/Fleets/Wings for XWA (my 2 primary multiplayer games). Don't believe all that formal-ism of rank and heirarchy is needed. Just having fun, talking online with the people you play with (when you aren't playing) and playing the game. Some of those whom I frequently played with agreed, and we split off from these large formal groups. We formed what we're calling a smuggler's operation, Knight Watch. http://www.geocities.com/pbarnyyoda/knightsenter.html . We're emphasising the 3 things i talked about, fun, talking online to each other, and playing JK/XWA. Check us out if that's what you want as well. Thanks
