Problems starting the final level (Infernal Machine)

Hello,

I have a problem starting the Infernal Machine level. I reach the temple at Babylon again, to find the hatch that blocked our way has now been torn off the hinges.

I then climb down the ladder to the bottom of the shaft.

The walkthroughs I've read say I should be able to get into the chamber beyond, but when I try, I can't jump up and catch the edge- the wall is at an angle so we can't grab at the lip.

All the walkthroughs simply brush through this part, but I can't see any solution. Can anyone help?

I'm sorry to say, but you're hit by a common problem which has been repeatedly reported here. I have some savegames available which can help you to overcome this problem.

Level 15 start file:

This will help you to get going, but after a while you'll encounter more problems. Then the following files will hopefully help you:

Anyway, after you finished level 15 the next one(s) again will work correctly. As far as we all here found out, these problems only seem to apply to level 15.

Thanks for the quick reply- I passed it on to my friend who 'owns' our copy. I won't get the chance to see if it works until the weekend.

Perhaps this should be a FAQ question, seeing that it appears to be a bug in the program.
