I have some questions.
1. Why are people on the forum allowed to call others f ucking imbeciles.
2 Why is everyone punished when only a few are the ones who abuse
For example the point system.
3. Why is the accusation made that the store buying thing for changing other's custom titles was not meant for changing anyone's title. When in that option it had even said buy it for someone who can't change their's with a winking smiley?
You know awhile back I said we didn't need strict outlining rules that are universal to the forum - but we do.
Its not fair that others get away with stuff that some forumers are banned for.
Thanks for listening -
Shan

I don't think anyone has been banned from the things you listed.
The Credits thing was just waiting to be stopped. I knew it wasn't a good idea form the beggining. And so did a lot of others. But the rest of us aren't suffering. We mgiht get an even better mod planted into LF.
About the swearing thing, I guess its ok, as long as both people know they are joking, and no offence is taken. Most people know what the wordd are anyways.
I'm not sure about the Title thing. I think that it was made for a joke for some people, but, once all those points were given out, it got way out of control.
Um... thanks for reading my reply.

1. To my knoladge most of th epeople that do that are from forums that have few or no admins/ mods in there that care, or are encourageing it.
2. Like the old saying STTCT One bad apple can rune(sp?) the whole basketp Or however it goes...you get the point
3. Thats what happened to me, luckily i didnt get in to much trouble for it i remember your Rung founddation idea and so i did it.

Hey, you didn't thank me for answering your questions.
I said this before, but I don't think the wink was meant to be used as a "naughty" way. I think it was like a friendly type of thing, but I could be wrong.

No I didn't mind your post z - I understand lots of people supposidly didn't like the credits..
1. agree wi/mamba
2. Were the credits really that bad???? I thought they were fun!
3. I soooo wish I had a pic of that thing in the store - I KNOW that was what that smiley meant and they can keep denying it - but you can't tell me that it meant ;-) Change someone's if they ask you - that is sooo b.s.
I'm just upset at how things are being handled. I like a lot of Mod's etc. I'm just wondering where in the world they dissapeared to and why they are putting up with this crap AND why are they being hypocritical?

I know Shan, i read that thing and thought this way no one will be mad, i wish that i had a pic also because everyone keeps calling me a liar about it (Jed220) and it annoys the hell outta me. I swear i had a feeling that i shouldve taken a pic but never did.

If your gonna quote an IRC conversation with me, at least do it right. I said "don't talk bull****" and "fking grow up".
To answer your questions STTCT:
1. They aren't. It is against the rules.
2. People are not being punished by the removal of the point system. Some of the features will remain free of charge. It is being replaced by something much better. The point system was a bad idea to begin with and caused nothing but trouble from the start. It has outlived it's life.
3. The wink at the end of the sentence was not an invitation to change peoples titles without their permission. It was a "friendly" wink. In other words, it was indicating that you would be doing someone a kind gesture by donating them a title that they would not otherwise have.
And if anyone else spam's up this thread, or any other thread here for that matter, I'm gonna start banning people. You have been warned. This is the help/feedback center, not an aol chat room.

Actually, leXX, the other message "You have changed 's title to [title]. Will like it? " coupled with the original did kinda give the whole thing a "prank" flavoring. =/

You forgot the
"Ain't I cute?" part.
The idea I got from the wink was to retitle the person as a prank. And if it was against the rules, I didn't see it listed anywhere.

I'm slightly confused/out of the loop. are certain people denying changing names of other people? because 2 people who've posted in this thread changed mine. both without consent, but only one of which i minded because i'd never even seen the person before.

Yikes! [on topic] In real life, when people do sumthing "bad" or "wrong" everyone else is always almost punished for their actions...Even if they didn't do anything...This just insures that the incident will never happen aga in [/on topic]

I thought this matter was settled the last time there was a problem with inter-forum moderation standards. Those guidelines are old rules from the Galactic Battlegrounds (if I remember correctly, it might be somewhere else) forums. The IHOM had nothing to do with these guidelines, nor are we under any obligation to apply them to our own forums. If you have a problem with my conduct in this situation, why don't you address it to the moderator of the forum where it took place.

You used that insult in GB, therefore the rule stands.
Anyway...
I don't particularly give a crap what you do any more Shutt. You just carry on insulting people as much as you like. It's up to the admins to deal with mods who break the rules, not me.

I did not use that insult in GB, that is an outright lie.
And yes, it is up to the admins. I have already had a discussion with the admin that I am answerable to, and the matter seems to be settled.

Actually, Shutt, you did, in STTCT's I'm Leaving thread. However, the thread has been deleted.
If I'm lying, then you didn't say it at all, unless you did in another thread that was deleted, because it doesn't show up in a search.
Yes, I am bored.

I didn't use the insult in the thread on GB, in fact I don't even remember the person I applied it to posting in that thread (I'd check, but STTCT took exception to one of the people she was making false accusations against daring to defend themself, and deleted the thread). Somebody else made reference to F***ing-Imbecile-gate as evidence of what an evil person I am, and I merely explained the context to the remark. But as I've shown, the actual comment did not take place on GB forums.

Easy to say you didn't now the thread has been deleted eh?
But what would I know, I'm just a "common Swamp dwelling lowly tramp Nazi Star Wars mod".
And I won't continue this 'conversation' in front of the members anymore. It doesn't set a very good example. If you have any more to say to me, do it through PM's.

Not bored enough!
My mistake, Shutt...at least in assuming you didn't use that twice. Methinks I need to look more carefully next time.
But I have never seen that thread before, and I'm still referring to GB. Also, you didn't call anyone in particular a ****ing imbecile, you referred to everyone in the thread as that. As I recall. And since STTCT has never been to Mojo (at least, not in the past two weeks-! ^^)...why would you think she was talking about that?
This would probably be easier if the thread in question was still intact. Although I should point out in this thread, no one accused you of anything at first. You brought it up.
edit: Now I'm going to follow leXX's example and bounce on out of here. Sayanora, thread ^_~
