When I registered then it said that the name Zack was already in use, so I performed a search for the name Zack and I found a match, but the thing is that the guy has 0 posts...

sushiman, can't do it. if someone else registered the name Zack, you're SOL. That person may not have any posts but still may use their account. Anyway, it's something we don't want to start doing.

I understand that, but I'm not going to delete someone's account. I am not aware of any active policy on deleting inactive accounts. Since we don't prune old threads, it stands to reason that we don't prune inactive accounts.
