FF8 was easily my favorite and definitely one of the best in the entire series.

I hope she says yes. Good luck Dath!
I've never completed a FF game. Something I hope to remedy when the new one comes out. Kudos Bongo.

Con-****ing-grats Dath, and good luck! : D
______
------
Random thing:
I've had this image of a video game in my mind since I was like 7 or 8 years old. Well, all I remember is going to a party at some random house of an old friend of my parents. And at this tiny house somewhere in LA county I remember staying inside for a little bit. There were tons of people (a lot of probably tweens and teens inside) I've never met but I do remember watching someone play a PC game. And the image of that unnamed game has been in my head ever since. I don't know why I've been able to remember it for so long, but it's just sorta mildly tormented me because I didn't have a clue to what the game was called.
Well, for no apparent reason the game came back into my head this morning and decided to use the Giant Bomb game wiki to find the concept of stealth (I remember the character sneaking at some point) in an early PC game. Then I found it.
Twinsen's Odyssey

This visual has inexplicably been burned into my mind since I was 7.
It's sorta like finding out the name of a song you like after months of wondering, multiplied by ten. (lol)
Also, going on a road trip in a few hours, so yay, and it's mah birfday tomorrow.

Dath, I'm still allowed to come to the wedding, right?
Also, after a few playthroughs, I have finally gotten the Historian achievement in Bioshock, proving my own worth to myself. =D

Don't worry man, I failed mine twice as well. I really hate parallel parking...so much so that i smashed into the barrel barricade thing on the test. *whistles innocently*

eh i did fail the written thing once, that's cause it gave 2 trick questions in a row. i wasn't as pissed as when i hit the barrel though. just read the book they give you to study TWICE and you should be good to go.

Went to yet another Motel Aviv concert on Friday, so good. Another band called Lemonade was lots of fun too but the last one, Telepathe, wasn't that great. :/ Also stopped by the bookstore and picked up:
Medieval Philosophy - Copleston. I have a few history books by Copleston and he's quite good.
The Consolation of Philosophy - Boethius. A friend told me to read it and it's waaaay to Plato-ish for my analytic-oriented taste so far...
The Glass Bead Game - Herman Hesse
Pensees - Blaise Pascal. Been wanting to read this one for a long time.
and a CD by Delerium, Karma. I really like the first bit of Window to Your Soul, and Heaven's Earth and Silence.
I'm going on a big road trip around the outer circuit of the country too, since the inside is like a big seed thing in the middle which, if you bite down on it, either breaks into horrible chunks or smashes your teeth and annoys you until you happen to move on to more appetizing regions. In any case, now is the time to suggest interesting restaurants and perhaps you may see the Sam, unnatural as that idea may be!

Here in Chicago we definitely take our tests on public roads as well. I can't imagine having to take it in, say, a parking lot with orange barrels guiding your path.

I'm not worried about the test as much as I am actually driving.

Here in Vegas we take the test out on the road, but at the end we pull into the back of the DMV where they have 2 sets of barrels to be used for parallel parking testing.
This is most likely due to the fact that in the 2 years or so I've been driving I've had to parallel park three times, two of those three being on my tests.

*Jacked it up Ł10 because it was selling too well.

I apparently have a date with another guy friend, even though I'm still dating Show Choir Boy...
I think this is good because show choir boy thinks it's funny, and it shows that I apparently have game.

Of course theres plenty of nice places in the US, just avoid the red areas.

I can't believe I survived 6 months in Mississippi without getting killed, I don't like being tactful. I might also note that rural Wisconsin while beautiful has plenty of scary people, there's ****ing "Palin 2012" signs here.

I'm a year older, in California, very slightly sun burned, and I've got a sweet tripod for my camera that is actually worth a damn.
Also, it's been my insane decision to write a summary of Musashi as I read it. I'm at five pages written so far.
