El Caminos are awesome. I mean, seriously, I was taken to school in one of those things when I was in elementary school every day. I was the coolest.
Also, my dad did donuts in the desert for my brother and I, and when you're 5-7 years old, that's the most awesome thing ever.

It could have been so awesome, you could two-tone it with a purple...

Update on my wooden dummy.
I need to finish sanding the edges on the top arms so they're round and make the leg and base. I'll resand the body once more then it'll be finished.

that dummy looks more like a coat rack than anything tbh
Battle is a pure form of expression. It is heart and discipline, reduced to movement and motion. In battle, the words are swept away, giving way to actions-- mercy, sacrifice, anger, fear. These are pure moments of expression.

i spun 360 degrees in the car at 70mph, went across 3 lanes of traffic, slammed into the snowbank in the median, and had the car resting at 45 degree angle, had it not been for the snow, i would have rolled the car or gone into oncoming traffic

Okay, so I'm sure I've already caused a lot of groaning with this but it's finally done and I'll shut up about it now.
I changed my mind about the base I was going to use and instead crafted together this thing you see here. I placed the tiles myself and everything seen here was hand crafted. My two week long project has finally come to a conclusion and I can relax and get back to my regularly schedule routine. It'll be nice not spending 8 hours in my garage wearing terribly uncomfortable face masks and safety goggles.

Looks awesome Sithy. Very well made.
The old CRT TV in my parents room died recently, so they decided it was time for a new one. They decided to move the 32" 720p TV that was in the living room into their room and get a new one for the living room. We went down to Best Buy today and looked at all of the TVs they had and found the only 2 40" TVs that would fit our living room TV space. One of them was some brand we'd never heard of, and the other was a $1300 1080p Sony Bravia on sale for $900. We went for the Bravia:
It ended up just fitting with like a 8th of an inch clearance on top. It's basically the most optimal TV we could get to fit that space without either getting rid of the cabinet thing or getting a wall mount; neither of which we wanted to do.
Also, Lifetime. >_>
But yeah, I downloaded the 1080p version of that Sony Bravia commercial with the bouncy balls and the awesome song, and I stuck it on a USB and played it through the PS3. It was amazing.
Yep, I'm a Sony whore now.

Iff, you haven't already taken it away to the dump:
You could turn that into a fun project if you're willing to read a little and get your hands dirty--or at least find the right kind of nerd nearby to take it off your hands for free. Beats paying at the dump to get rid of it.
Click.
If you put up a billboard at a college saying something like "free electronic components to anyone who'll take my dead CRT TV", there's a good chance someone will ring you up for it. Especially if there's an electronics/electrical engineering department.

Rosewill 2.5" External Enclosure
$19 with shipping. Bought it after I realized I had a nice 2.5" hard drive sitting in my old broken laptop for the last year or so just doing nothing. Now I'll finally be able to backup all my **** easily, and no longer will I have to transfer files to the livingroom computer then back to mine.

Pfft, my livingroom is more Sony-er than yours... and for longer.
Sony HDTV, Sony Sound Receiver, Sony 5-CD player, Sony VCR (yes), Sony DVD, and I've thought of putting my PS3 Slim downstairs.
Also, it's been like that for a majority of my life. When I was 8, it was Sony TV, Receiver, Tape Deck, CD Player, VCR... Oh, and we've had the same receiver and CD player the entire time.

I have pre-ordered AvP3 (Yes I'm calling it that as there were two before it, just because they were not on the consoles they feel they have to hide the fact that this is the third game...).
I never got to play the first one but I loved the second so I have high hopes for this...

I have 4 different zippos... my gf just got me one with my name engraved on it, then i have 2 olive green ones (lost one, got another..found the other) and an old black one.
Theyre so addictive to flick open and closed, the old black ones hinges are completely worn and loose because of it

So far it's way better than Clear Skies, which was a hard, glitchy, buggy, computer breaking experience. The starting area is sort of cool in a few ways, but it's mostly just big areas of nothing. Only $20 and still atmospheric as hell. Even had a few scripted moments that were a really cool departure... and the shadows and lighting are still freaking awesome.
Though... oh my god, do not read the subtitles to the intro video... it's like the guy who wrote them wrote it from memory after hearing the voice over once. He says completely different things and cites completely different years and dates. Janky as hell...

I thought I was the only one who noticed how the intro made no sense at all... Oh well, i don't blame it. Its a russian to english translated game, and goddamn, its awesome

Oh wow. I just remembered that I bought Shadows of Chernobyl ages ago on a deal of Steam but never played past the first 15 minutes (my old hardware issues). I'm assuming it still holds as a good game? Looks a bit outdated now, but I've been looking for a nice shooter rpg since ME2/Borderlands.

Weak. Megadeth and Slayer were here less than a year ago, but I didn't go. I wish I did, but it should still be ****ing badass with Megadeth and Testament.
Are you still gonna be in TO when they're back in July?
I have two zippos, one from Germany and one from Chile. I just haven't used either or bothered to get any butane. I prefer BICs though.

Got my laptop back! Had to send it in to Lenovo repair after the screen wouldn't turn on last Tuesday. AND, it was free, even though I know it was out of warranty. When I called to check on the status since they hadn't called me in over a week to tell me the cost, they said it had already shipped and it was free because it was under warranty. Only thing I can think of is that they gave it to me for free to get me to renew the warranty. I'm not complaining though.
