I have discovered that combining surfing the net, listening to the radio and consumption of alcohol can cause you to go to Amazon.co.uk with unexpected results...

Please don't judge me.

you are all terrible people and should be ashamed of yourselves

On-topic: Recently took advantage of GameStop's 50% off sale and picked up copies of:

Pure - ATV racing game, really freaking hard
Prototype - sandbox superhero(villain?) game, haven't really gotten that far in it cuz the main character is kind of a douche
Sonic's Ultimate Game Collection - Biggest nostalgia trip ever, with a whole slew of old Sega games that I was absolutely hooked on when I was younger
BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger - Very polished 2D fighting game with a ****-ton of flashing lights and bells and whistles, should tide me over until Super Street Fighter IV

I also got Final Fantasy XIII and am about 10 hours into it. It's the ultimate experience in linearity so far, I don't think I can wipe my ass without the game giving me a tutorial on it. Hoping it gets better soon.

have a suggestion for the lf poll? pm me

dude isnt that the 2nd xbox you've gone through that problem with the red ring? mine went on me in september, but it was under warranty, it's not anymore. i want the hdmi equipped one now cause i got a 42" hdtv...

Battle is a pure form of expression. It is heart and discipline, reduced to movement and motion. In battle, the words are swept away, giving way to actions-- mercy, sacrifice, anger, fear. These are pure moments of expression.

Bought my 360 in June 2006.

RROD'd on me in March 2008 I believe...

RROD'd to again just a few weeks ago.

So, it was my second RROD on my first 360.

Also, yeah. Add me, Zerstorer23, I'm always playing.

Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition for PC

I already owned Fallout 3 on PC, but never got any of the DLC, and a used copy of this was the same cost as all the DLC seperate. Turns out the DLC is on the second disk and is installed completely seperate from the game itself. So I gave the other disk to my friend and kept my old one.

Just got back from seeing Iron Man 2. I liked it a lot, it had fun set-pieces, balls-to-the-wall action, funny dialouge, and plenty of charm, primarily provided by RDJ. Almost outshining him was Rockwell, though, who goes all out with his crazy I-think-I'm-loveable-but-actually-I-come-off-as-a-douche persona. Rourke did a competent job as Whiplash, but the role doesn't demand much. The female leads were kinda stiff, but L. Jackson was being L. Jackson to the fullest.

There were plenty of nerdy shout-outs, and my even-geekier-than-me friend ended up squealing several times, especially at the after-credit scene. Overall it's not as strong as the first one, but I love that movie a whole lot. If you like Iron Man, you should see this film.

Awesome, congrats all round.

My sister lent me The Tudors Seasons 1-3, and after staying up until the early hours every morning for a few day watching it, I'm completely addicted. Such a fantastic series, the acting is top notch and the settings and costumes are amazing. I'm currently downloading Series 4 as they come out. Love it.

So, now that I'm addicted to everything Tudor, I ordered a book from Amazon which arrived yesterday, and it's wonderful. It describes everything that happened year by year, and there are portraits and documents and photos of artifacts on every page. I highly recommended the series and book if you like 16th Century English History.

That's the one with the bath right? Absolute genius. Yeah it's a shame it isn't included in the set, I may have to buy it seperately.

Yea, I've heard Creek mentioned before, just never watched any. Used to watch Poirot on PBS Mystery Theater over here all the time, loved it My absolute favorite detective show is A Nero Wolfe Mystery which was on A&E for two seasons. It's so good, I bought it on DVD twice (though one copy wasn't for me )

Well, after helping my friend's mom reformat her computer after her other son and his wife completely ****ed hers with random myspace/facebook clickings and poker websites and software (someone remotely took over their computer while her other son was using it), she insisted on paying me, so I picked this up:

My first (real) documentary has finally been pressed, and will be submitted to the 2010-2011 Emmy's Missed this year's deadline by a week due to the Iceland's Eyjafjallajokull volcano stranding our Producer (who has to do the submission) in Tanzania Africa for 3 weeks

A long way's off, and honestly not expecting it to win anything, but the thought of work (JTV) believing it's good enough for a shot (and entry fee.. hehe) is good enough for me Plus I'll have one or 2 more docs by next year's time that may be considered as well...

I wasn't too impressed either tbh. If it's supposed to be something special, then I don't see it, it felt the same as all the others. Halo is Halo.

Haven't tried it yet... Too busy with my new PS3, hooked up to my big, new HDTV (1080p, 120Hz...)

The XBox may still have all the better games... but anyone who claims it to be a sexier piece of hardware or interface simply hasn't tried the Playstation.

Mainly, I just wanted a Blu-Ray player for the TV... but the trailers for Gran Turismo 5 sold me on getting the full PS package.

Sure.

I only have 2 games so far: GT5: Prologue, and Motostorm.

Is there a mic headset unit for the PS3 to do chat like the 360?

I also need to get a wireless keyboard/ mouse for it too. It's cool you can surf the net with it... but entering in letters from the controller is totally miserable.

Yeah, you can get a wireless headset and a keyboard, but I haven't bothered with either as I don't use the PS3 enough to justify it. The only games I own on it are PS3 exclusives, and I use it mainly to watch Blu-Ray's.
