Words cannot describe how amazing this is. The frame rate, the graphics, the Single player campaign, the online multi-player. All top notch. Finally a new game I am absolutely addicted too. I played this from about 8pm, to 4am. CRAZY!

I must rent that game. I was absolutely addicted to the Multiplayer beta. Leveling up was as addictive on there as it was on WoW except more twitchy kill and less grindtastic questing

Blasted 360!! I have the money to get it, just not the Xbox.
Otherwise, more "on-topic"...umm, I went to see American Gangster for free (work). Great movie, I must say. And ah, staff event yesterday, played some "lasertag" and yeah. Life would be great with my 360. Yeah, it's sad.

I didn't pre-order CoD4 but I'll try some other stores tomorrow to see if I can get it.
Anyway, my HDTV arrived today, a day early. And my "The cake is a liar" T-shirts came, also. So I'm happy.

Got it for 360 and it's a crap load of fun. I think I found my new MP game- better than Halo 3, better than R6 Vegas. It's seriously an awesome game. And it's fun because it's a lot like CoD1 MP on the PC. I kicked ass at that game and I'm kicking ass in CoD4- I got a 14 kill streak already. And last night I had 4 rounds in a row on a 12 player room where I was the MVP.

But I think I need to return it, the whammy bar is really loose. If I don't hold it while I'm playing then it falls to pointing straight down.

That sucks. I was at a gamestop the day after it came out, and this lady was on the phone with the regional manager, saying how she had to defect out 3 copies of the game because it had the guitar, but no game in the box.

I finished the CoD4 single player on Hardened difficulty (extra 90 points, woot!) after a massive marathon from around 9pm to 2:30am. There were some real places that totally kicked my ass over and over and over.
Somethings, spoilers I guess...
spoiler:
Hard parts in chronological order as I remember:
-Getting into the barn when the helicopter is flying around delivering death to you.
-The TV Station control room, total chaos for 90 seconds.
-Breaking into houses to find Al-Asad.
-Escaping from the assassination, the first section in the streets.
-Escaping from the assassination, carrying around MacMillian.
-Waiting for the copter, holy sh*t was that the hardest thing I've ever done, ever! (Hint: go behind the bumper cars thing, MacMillian is practically/is invincible, wait for the copter and shoot anyone who gets near.)
-The massive shoot-out at the barn.
-Going the hell back down, running for my life and dodging bullet spray.
-For some reason, Act III was a cake walk for me until we got to the missile base. I guess because there was plenty of cover and only so many soldiers at any time.
-Almost all of the missile base underground.
-The hardest single part by far was the 'maze' through the launch tubes. Holy hell, that 40 second section took me over half an hour to get through.
Essentially, this game is tough. Enemies constantly respawn and cause chaos for you. For an analogy, most of the time it's like a thunderstorm of bullets. The enemies never stop shooting, ever. And since it only takes a second or two of fire to get killed, it really sucks. The dudes don't pause for no reason shooting, and most of the time they will just peg you. Once they have a shot at you, they don't stop firing.
Cool ****:
-The whole cargo ship thing was the best first impression on a game, ever.
-The nuclear explosion and the crawling out the wreckage. Sorta sad and depressing.
-The sneaking around Chernobyl. STALKER should have been more like this.
-The One Shot Sniper kill. My bullet was funny, it curved to the left and at the last moment veered back, just barely hitting him in the face.
-Shooting the heli pilot and seeing one of the most M-Rating deserved thing in this game.
-The helicopter crashing down in front of you, and MacMillian barely avoiding disaster.
-Scaring a bunch of dogs in a pool I had no idea were there, and accidentally getting them to kill a patrol outside.
-Cornering the blue-track clothes wearing dude on top of the roof, holy crap. He shot himself, can you shoot his knees or something before he does? I guess he'd just fall to his death, though.
-The CoD series staple car chase at the end.
-Griggs getting hit at the end.
-Taking that evil dude the **** out.

Not as much as you'd think. I wasn't gonna get the iPhone when I heard it was tied to a contract, but it turns out to be quite a good deal. Ł270 for the phone with 200 minutes and texts free and month, plus unlimited data for Ł35 a month. I was spending more than that on my pay-as-you-go. As for the iPhone itself, set it up with no problems whatsoever, and after having a couple of days to play with it, I gotta say it's pretty damn awesome.
Bill, that sux =/ Season 3 isn't as good as 1 & 2 imo, but having to wait that much longer than us is ridiculous.

Just dl'd Chaotic's Maphack for Warcraft III from a friend - works like a charm, even in ladder games :3

What on earth is a Maphack?
I've heard people refer to it so many times, but I never actually found out.
Why have I been playing WC3 for years yet still utterly confused by what this actually is?

This particular hack I downloaded does three things:
1. At the beginning of the game puts all 5 peons on gold, queue's up two more at your town hall, and auto-selects one of the starting peons so you can build an altar or whatever. It does it all at once the instant the game starts, so you waste no time with idle peons 'n crap.
2. Reveals your opponents location and details such as skills learned on their heroes, units queued up at barracks, etc.
3. Gives you the option to disconnect in AT games, which will count as a tie instead of a loss on your record, letting you achieve 100% win ratio.
Of course it will be useless when the next patch comes out in December. D:

To milo:
Very good news, Patch 2.3 finally went live for WoW today.
Slightly bad news, I'm not done Battlegrounding it up for PvP reward gear.
More good news, because I both heal and DPS for my team, the shapeshifting changes for druids will make things much easier for me.

Oh. So you're a cheater.
I maintain a positive playing record legitimately
Honestly though, it does sound like a lot of fun just to abuse the hell out of your opponents.

It's fun if you're playing against noobs, but experienced players usually catch on after you creepjack them for the tenth time in a row and proceed to bombard you with whispers of "fuk u noob im sending this replay to blizzard support."

The free-running mechanics is incredibly fluid and solid and it's a whole lot of fun. It's like what Skate. did for skateboarding games, the movement is incredible.
I don't get why people don't like the fighting AI, yeah sure- guys don't attack you while you're obviously open, but they're still dangerous, if you get beat into a corner you'll really start to take a licking and will have to run for your life.
The most fun thing is grabbing people and throwing people off high places. The counters are extremely cool looking, the fighting is a hell of a lot of fun. The story is really cool, and the big twist of the game is revealed within the first few minutes of the game, and I've got to say it's really cool.
For the levels there are some invisible walls, but they're just a way to keep you out of places until you've progressed more through the story. This game is so great.

Quoted for emphasis. We had a pretty dull summer for video games. Now, all the crap I reserved is coming out every day, and I can't afford it all. I have run out of crap to trade in. All these developers want to take advantage of the holidays, but what they fail to realize, is that when there is THIS much stuff to pick from, we scrutinize even more, and find us trying to talk ourselves out of buying this stuff.
Picked these up last weekend:
I am a dork and I love the FEAR games. I like what I played so far. Many people don't and the FEAR buzz has probably worn off, but I still enjoy it.
I adore the Silent Hill games ever since I first discovered Silent Hill on PSONE. They are so creep, cool, and just fun to play. This one is no exception to the rule. Truly another landmark in the chapter of Silent Hill. Good controls, outstanding sound....great graphics, and awesome story!
I picked up this tonight:
So far seemed an awful lot like CoD4, but I guess that game has spoiled us now. The achievements are fun, and the Havoc engine makes it worth while. This one is a hell of a lot gorier than CoD4. Overall I like it. I am a sucker for shooters...

whee, finally got that new AC/DC DVD set, there is some nice and some not so nice footage on it, but a gem for sure.
Picked up the first Death Wish too, I already had 2-4 since Bronson is a badass.
Lastly, a very cheesy movie from the 80s about kids on roller skates in the desert who save the post apocalyptic world
