I turned 17.
I received a nice digital camera that I'll be taking to Europe next spring break and some money. If only my 360 worked, it've been close to perfect.

Because of my mention of WoW on here, I got a Buy WoW Gold banner ad on the right side of the thread.
Anyhow, my family bought a two pack of space heaters for 30 bucks, meaning I got a space heater in my room. Finally, warmth
And I don't want to hear from you bitches in colder places than Vegas, because frankly I don't care. After living in 100+ degree weather over the summer, 61 degrees is really f***ing cold for me

Don't get all offended at that statement, because I don't have the money to play Mass Effect or Assassins creed either

Probably. Make sure you see them! Support this band!
I just got:
You guys KNOW how I feel about Guitar Hero, and I don't do drums so obviously I did not reserve the big $169.99 bundle. I just love to sing, so I just got the game, and it works perfectly with the USB Microphone from the PS2 Karaoke Revolution: American Idol. And that mic fits perfectly into my old mic stand from when I did the band thing. Over all best singing type game I played to date, because it is all pure rock n' roll. I got it because it had Faith No More, Pixies, and NIN on it. However the crappy part is that I have to wade through the likes of Weezer just to unlock all the cool songs. Oh well, at least they didn't throw in KT Tungstall, and try to call it rock n' roll. Over all a fun game to play, and quite the bitch on expert mode...but worth it! I have not tried the online yet....still waiting on some of my guitar playing buds to get they're 360 back.

61 degrees is underwear weather here. : P
Hah. Yeah, it's all relative. I've had a few family and friends come from Southern California up to Seattle where they complain it's cold and wear pants and jackets, while we walk around in shorts and T-Shirts.

I played it yesterday at a best buy, and even though the pad used mainly for the hi-hat was busted, requring me to use the lefty flip and play it kinda weird, I still almost five starred Sufragette City. Had the broken pad been working I would have easily five starred it.
You're lucky Grooves. All you care about is the singing, and because any USB mic works with it, and you already had a USB mic, you are able to get it for a reasonable price. Even though all I care about is the drumming (I'd still play the guitar, just not nearly as much, and would probably never sing), I still have to pay for the guitar and mic in addition to the drums. So a 90 dollar game becomes a 170 dollar game, which is too far out of my price range
If/when I do get the game, I'll gladly drum for ya though grooves.

It is snowing, there is ice on the road/windows and I'm walking around around the house with my coat on.
I'm currently in Michigan though, not Chicago.

I gots me some glasses for my nearsightedness.
Seriously, I'm tripping out on all the detail that my world failed to have before. It's like going from Kansas to freaky-deaky wizard world, except there aren't talking lions walking around and I lit the scarecrow on fire.
Hey, he wanted a heart so he could feel the warmth in life. I don't see how I didn't provide for that.

Oh yeah, when I first got my glasses it was going from a 13" TV to a 72" HDTV - yeah... bad analogy but it's pretty much true.

When I first received my glasses, it felt like going from standard-def to high def. Then, once I got my contacts, it felt like going from a 13" HDTV to a 72" HDTV.
Hey, that's what it felt like for me.

My bro the Japanophile / Nartuto fan got this for $60
It's kinda fun to watch, some of the fighting can get really complicated looking, but I haven't touched it.
$45 used
Wanted to fly and look at pretty graphics. Very cool so far.

But really, it's a pretty cool game, arcade style. It's basically realistic, but you have 100 missiles, no black/red-outs, and I've only been hit twice in the first 2 hours of the game. Once from a SAM missile, and again barely strafed by an AA gun.
But when you strafe AA guns it's pretty cool, you'll see tracer rounds flying around you and stuff.

i just got me one of these:
my truck (the construction yellow, ford ranger) needed too much work (lead spring busted, catalytic converter was going, muffler was shot, brakes and rotors were shot, and the left wheel axle was a little bent), so i just decided to get a low mileage vehicle, and this only had a little over 41,000 miles on it. it drives nice, still getting used to switching to 4WD when i need to though...
(note: vehicle pictured is not the exact one i have, but it's the same color and model)
Battle is a pure form of expression. It is heart and discipline, reduced to movement and motion. In battle, the words are swept away, giving way to actions-- mercy, sacrifice, anger, fear. These are pure moments of expression.

In b4 zOMG DOUBLE POST!
Today was my english final, which from what I knew was going to basically be short answer questions about what we've read since the midterm. Only problem is, I've been there so little since the midterm that I don't even remember what we've read. So I walk in expecting to bomb horribly, and he instead simply asks us to right a short essay about whether or not English classes should be manditory. In other words, instead of bombing, I passed with flying colors.
Dodging bullets ftw

All I need is a large paper bag, a few McDonald triple-stacked hamburgers, and a trip to a clinic for the morbidly obese.
Oh, and the audacity of Hercules. I'd travel to depths no sane mortal would ever fathom to explore, let alone with his peeper.

Free gift from Nintendo... Manager's perk for attending the manager conference back in September!
Hate to say it, but it makes playing Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles a lot more fun, and makes me thankful that I hung on to the Wii after all.
I was tempted to trade the damn Wii in because I am fed up with the daily nonsense that customers put us through, and an overall lousy selection of games in the past year.
Umbrella Chronicles, Resident Evil 4, and Super Mario Galaxy are the only things that make me hang on to this system.

Now I can use my 7900GS KO on my main computer friggin' finally, thinking of getting a new $130-180 CPU within the next few weeks then a 8600 or maybe a 8800 - expecting a lot of Xmas money.

Oh yeah, you bet! I played SH3 a year or so ago and it was some of the best fun I've had. It really sucks you in, sure- it's incredibly complicated at the beginning even with more of the assistance turned on, it's still a boat submarine load of fun.
Also, I played the Rock Band demo today (I already have the game, though) and tried the Strat controller... it's freaking horrible. Feels cheap and fragile. The buttons are a little too large, get accidentally hit all the time because they fall off the edges. The whammy bar is in a weird position. The tilt function didn't work for me. It just felt wrong, I'd rather use the SG than that piece of crap.
*Edit*
I finished my first mission of SH4... Well, I thought I did but was then told to patrol somewhere else so I decided to call it a night... at 1:45am... It took me from around 10:30pm to 1:45am... It was a lot of fun though. I sank a lot of Japanese fishing boats with my cannon. Destroyed a freighter with one torp, it took around 30 minutes for it to sink, though. And had to deliver a spy to a Japanese town by dropping him off in a life raft in 30 foot deep water... mere feet from the bottom with rocks.
But anyway, a lot of fun, the water looks great, above and under. Hunting is a lot of fun, and I'm glad you can time compress all the way to 8192x, SH3 had a max of around 1024x I think, and it doesn't lag when changing the time.
Only disappointment is that the explosions look a little bleh. They look big and all, but it's like the explosions are going through a sort of filter that make it look compressed and muddy. And game run at 30-35 fps at max settings @ 1024x1280.
