Hmm...the only think I can think of is Lobot...that bold dude that hung around with Lando on ESB
Lobot is mistaken for a droid firstly because of the interface sticking out o fhis head, but also because that hedgear has affected the way he speaks.., making him talk in short sentences like a droid.
The name "Lobot" is interesting, as in medical parlance, the word Lobotomy describes a removal/destruction of part of the brain. In Lobots case, part of his brain has been supplanted by a compy..

It isn't. The one I was thinking of is mistaken for a droid, because his name sounds like a droid's name.

I was thinking of Entoo Needaan E-elz, also known as Entoo Nee. The other interesting thing about his name, is its similarity to the name Anthony Daniels, who of course played C-3PO, who of course is a droid. Source: Hand of Thrawn duology.
I'll pass on the question.

The ssi-ruuvi paddle beamers shot ion blasts, therefore the could not be absorbed or properly deflected by lightsabers(a pure energy beam) The blasts had the effect of bending around the sabers. Source.. Truce at Bakura

I was waiting for this as well, cos im sure its not mentioned in survivor's quest. Are you sure you read it, cos the no. of jedi masters that were on the flight was still a discrepancy until the blurb for outbound flight came out.

The only thing I could find on it (and the only Jedi I know from the past that was named), was Jorus C'baoth, plus 5 other Jedi Masters, 12 Jedi Knights, and around 50.000 others.
Naga Sadow (no H ) had his HQ on the moon of Khar Delba: Khar Shian.

Kubaz is an alien species, that has a trunk for a nose. They live on the planet Kubrindi in the Ku'Bakai system. One of them can be seen in ANH, he is responsible for alerting the stormtroopers of the location of the droids at Mos Eisley..

The Shadow Academy was a training place for "Dark Jedi." Brakiss was the master of the academy, and there was a nightsister as well. The students were to be the new army for the emperor reborn or something. In the end it was all a shame and Brakiss was killed after the station self destructed.
References: The Young Jedi Knights series.
uhh... I would think that the academy's destruction was the end of it, but I can't remember. I do remember that there were former Shadow Academy students held captive on the Voxyn Worldship.

A. It's Triculus or something. It's one of the few EU I've actually not read or own. I think it's rather old as well. The Emperor got jiggy with one of his Hands and they had a freak of nature. I don't actually know 100%. Just stuff I remember reading about from a long time ago.

yes, Trioculus(yes, he had three eyes) dates from a time modern EU became the cohesive entity it tries to be now. This was described in a series of kids books, called the "Galaxy of Fear" Series. Trioculus wanted to rule the galaxy etc etc, ended up gettin killed Amazingly, he got a very brief mention somewhere in the NJO, cant remember where or why....

A. The World Devastators were huge mobile war factories employed by the Emperor Reborn. They would literally rip planets apart with gigantic tractor beams and use the raw material as fuel and for the construction of starships and fighters.
The Sun Crusher was a starfighter-sized superweapon stolen by Kyp Durron and used to destroy the Carida system. It fired a resonance torpedo into Carida's star, causing it to go supernova. Kyp eventually destroyed the Sun Crusher by flying it into a black hole.
The Galaxy Gun was an Imperial superweapon that had the capacity to fire enormous projectiles through hyperspace to destroy planets. It was eventually destroyed when the Eclipse II crashed into it. It managed to fire off one last projectile which was pulled in by the planet's Byss' gravitational field, destroying that world.

They didn't fly X-wings, as far as I know, since at the time of the Battle of Yavin, the T-65 was still a relatively new starfighter. The Tierfon Yellow Aces flew Y-wings, which makes sense, since most Y-wings seen usually have yellow markings.

Actually, according to the Glove of Darth Vader series (a series of 6 kids books, that are amongst the worst the EU has to offer), Trioculus was not the son of the Emperor, even though he claimed to be. The actual son of the Emperor was Triclops.
Yeah, you'd think the Emperor had come back to life or something.

Carida was home to a stormtrooper training facility. Kyp Durron came to Carida in the Sun Crusher in search of his brother who was training as a stormie.
Long story short, the Imps lied to Kyp about his bro, he shot his missiles into their sun at which point the produced his brother. Too late to do anything, but trying anyway, the sun went Nova just before Kyp could save his brother.
So sad.
My question:
Who is Olin Garn
And Shepherds we shall be
For thee, my Lord, for thee.
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand
Our feet may swiftly carry out Thy commands.
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee
And teeming with souls shall it ever be.

Battle is a pure form of expression. It is heart and discipline, reduced to movement and motion. In battle, the words are swept away, giving way to actions-- mercy, sacrifice, anger, fear. These are pure moments of expression.

*BZZT* The classic response of someone who aint be knowin jack
Raith Sienar was initially a pilot and engineer, but became involved in starship design after working among the Xi Char on Charros IV. (These were the beings that *designed* the trade federations Droid Starfighters)...
Basically, he stole alot of their ideas, which he subsequently used when designing concepts upon which Sienar Design Systems was founded. One of his projects included Darth Maul's Infiltrator... He did also come in contact with Zonama Sekot. Yes, this was during Rogue Planet and he was pretty much responsible for the planet dissapearing to parts unknown(to be later found by Luke Skywalker in the NJO)...

A: I'm going out on a limb here, but I'm going to say that IG series droids are battle droids created by the techno union army (possibly Trade Federation of Banking Clan, but I'm sticking with my answer). IG-88 is one of said droids. Of course, since we're talking EU, and not movie cannon, then there were 4 IG-88 models. (IG-88a, b, c, and d).
All four IG-88's had a shared collective intelligence and awareness. 88A was terminated on Cloud City and left for rubble in the garbage pit. 88B was killed by Boba Fett over Tatooine. 88C was terminated by Dash Rendar on Ord Mantell's junk wasteland. 88D assimilated itself into the computer systems of Death Star #2, and would have wreaked horrible death and destruction if it had not been for the rebels' attack run in orbit of Endor.
If I am completely off base, then I am sorry. I hope I can get a bonus for my 1337 h@x0r EU skillz on providing the possibly useless IG-88 info. Pass on a question either way.

I believe IGs are actually assasin droids created by Holowan laboratories.
Yeah, you'd think the Emperor had come back to life or something.

OOp....no correct answer yet.
They were orignally created by the InterGalactic Banking Clan. I watched Clone Wars again, and they have a ton of IG series droids that attack the clone troopers. I wish to change that part of my answer. Shok is also right though, IG-88 was made by Holowan labs. He became self aware, and killed everyone in the lab. MMm....the wonder of science.
Homer: Wonders Lisa...or blunders??
Lisa: That was implied
Homer: Implied Lisa...or implode??
So who gets the point?
still, I pass on a question either way
