Here's a list of sites where you can find Kotor mods over the internet.

Contrary to some common beliefs, modding KotOR is accessible to everyone and no prior experience is required. We welcome everyone to try Just start checking the General tutorials forum to get started and then don't hesitate to post your questions at Holwan Labs.

Believe it or not, Prime's site burns through bandwidth pretty quickly. I imagine that if you try again in a few days (at the beginning of the month when the bandwidth resets), you'll be able to get in pretty easily.

the old thread is still there around along with the old stickies. A you may have noticed, the forums are being reorganized for the arrival of TSL. I merged the contents of my Guide for the Newbie and the "tools" part from Kitty's list of Downloads tools and mods which you can now fing in the general tutorial section and made this thread.

Yes, just check the above sites: Rehawke's mine and Shimaon's (perhaps some more too) already have some TSL mods on them.

I dont know if this should be posted or PMed to a mod/admin but.... The "Gameunlimited" link says the site is closed. The links to the mod .zip files still work on their website, but whats the point of having a link to a more or less dead website?

I know about GU's site. The links to the mods work: GU added the "site closed" banner to indicate that he wouldn't do further updates. He left the links so that people interested in his mods would still be able to get them.

BTW, GU has been a great contributor to these forums at their very beginning and I am sure "old timers" are all very grateful to him

He made the first recruitment mod (Yuthura) for Kotor too

Well.. All I can say is that the rumors of my untimely demise have been greatly exaggerated.

Seriously though, just a lot of RL crap has given me quite a full plate for a long while and as a result I had to let drift a lot of my "online" life.

So much so, that I've only just finished TSL.

The modding community sure has evolved past the prehistoric state it was in at the time of KotOR...

That's very true... Us original modders were basically lumberjacks clearing out the virgin forest...

Argh! I fixed that before the forums went down...now the thread has be reset to the old version and I notice quite a few links are missing I found her mods on a German site. Will have to look for this again and fix it...Thanks for pointing this out

I'm sorry if this has been asked already, but I am looking for a mod for KOTOR 1 that changes the beginning of the game to that of SW episode 1. I had it at one point but now I can't find it anymore. What it does is that you start out as a jedi and Qui-Gon comes and wakes you up and it plays out like the beginning of the phantom menace. Any help locating this mod would be greatly appreciated.

Darth333, thanks for the information. I have an odd problem though, the mod causes my game to crash every time I get to the second door in the game. This is the first door you have to use your security skill on. I was wondering if you could tell how I could get in contact with Xavier so I can ask him what I should do.

Sorry but Xavier has not shown up in months now.

Make sure you installed the mod correctly: part of the files go in the override folder and the .mod file go in the Modules folder. If you drop the .mod files in your override folder it will just keep crashing. Do you have any other mods installed?

Yeah. If Xavier is the exact same Halo modder. Then Im afraid to say that "hes No longer with us".

I never new him but after looking at the Halo mods forums there was huge thread dedicated to him in his memory.
