You can change your avatar in your profile. It's easy, but took me over a week to figure out how to do it. Girls and computers. 
Since you are the webmaster of this place, I don't think it would be too hard for you to become a moderator or something. Perhaps Zaarin knows more? Or you could start posting a lot.

I have this temp avatar for now. I'll made my own set of avatars.
I also want to say that webmasters aren't god (I wish we were).
But I'll try evolving into moderator very soon.
