Broken Sword 4
I don't know if there are many BS fans around here, but I sure hope so. What do you think of the recently announecd BS4? Do you think they'll make it, or will it be cancelled? Do you have high hopes for it?
Broken Sword has to be my favourite game series right after Gabriel Knight, so I'm definitely delighted by these news. I enjoyed the previous game, even the box puzzles. I think this game has the chance of being just as good, if not better. Yeah, I'm an optimist.
The only thing I really want from the game right now is André. He was a funny character and I'm interested in seeing what happened to him and Beatrix.

I'm sure I bought BS2 a while back....err it had like a design made out of mosaics on the front...is that 2? anyway i couldnt get it going on xp, i shall have to dig it out and do some playing around on the old pc. I've heard some good things about them, hopefully this new title will do well. if it does it can only mean good things for the community in general.

Yes, that's the second. Doesn't SCUMMVM support it? I believe the second is the worst in the series, so if you end up not liking it, I hope it doesn't make you think the entire series is as bad.

BS4? Awesome. I loved number 2, although 1 was almost as good. 3, er... not so good. Hopefully number 4 won't involve so much crate pushing.

I must be the only one on this planet who actually liked the crate puzzles.
So, the second is your favourite? Why do you think it's better than the first? I'm not belittling your opinion, I'm just curious and I'd love to hear more your opinions on this.

Broken Sword 1 was awesome. The second was good too, but it didn't have that same " " to it. The third was also good, though it felt more distant and the crate puzzles were fairly tedious after the first few. Worst ending ever, also.
Hopefully the fourth will combine better visuals (2D or 3D is fine with me), the atmosphere of BS1 and better puzzles all in one tidy package.

Not really sure why I liked number 2 better. Maybe it was the the fact that is was more linear (something I usually don't appreciate) and took me on ride to more exotic locations and stranger situations. Don't get me wrong though, I loved BS1, BS2 just gave me a better "afterglow" than BS1.

I believe my opinion on BS2 is a little biased since I played it soon after BS1, and I was still mourning spoiler:Khan's death.
A new adventure after seeing my favourite character die didn't feel like much. I'm going to have to play it again one day to form a better opinion.
Though Oubier was fantastic. His fate and role in the plot kept me playing BS2.

Thats funny because I bought all three of them at once and played them right after the other.
Oh well, guess we just have opposite views.

I am big on Broken Sword to say the least!
My favourite was BS1, followed by BS3 and then BS2 close behind. They are all great, but BS1 is my favourite game ever, and it had the best ending of the three games.
Broken Sword 4 will be amazing, because I am yet to be dissapointed by anything Revolution Software have brought out that I have played.
Listening to you, I get the music
Gazing at You, I get the heat
Following you, I climb the mountain
I get excitement at your feet
Right behind you, I see the millions
On you, I see the glory
From you, I get opinions
From you, I get the story
