Dark Forces. I recently fonud out about these books and being a HUGE fan of Jedi Knight 2, the BEST game i have ever played EVER in the world EVER. Ever. Ever! That game introduced me to Star Wars, i played it on like 8 hours stretches sometimes, i loved it to bits and it is one of the most culty and amazing games ever. I also believe Kyle Katarn or the actor Jason Court used to shop at the local Coop. We use to exchange the most stark stares and he knew that i knew who he really was. Anyway, one day i passed him as i was in my dad's car on the way to the orthodontist. (Kyle/Jason was at the bus stop) But get this.. about 20 meters away from the bus stop, he looks at me in the car with the most intense gaze ever and we just stared as we drove past. It was THE single freakiest and surreal moment of my life. I never saw him again. He knew i was onto him. He was a jedi. Shortly after this encounter, we went to wales on holiday (me and my family not me and kyle) and for the next 7 days, all i could hear were Stormtroopers. Everywhere. In the car, out in the woods saying Blast em and stand at your post. I kid you not. This is the truth.
Anyway i look forward to any flashbacks these books may induce. The games i got off ebay are also to burn away friday nights :P

I like the LCD screen on it. Useful for telling me levels of how amazing i am how many love rockets i have expended and how much love i have yet to give.

hey HerbieZ - if you are a big DF fan dont forget the jedi knight equivalent of the DF Novels, and the ULTRA RARE audiobooks - which I have actually

Im a screen junkie, thus my piddly 19"lcd has made way for a samsung 27" WS LCD. Its the largest I would use functionally as a monitor without it becoming ridicoulosly huge. One drawback is that it does make hiding dodgy webpages from girlfriend walking in quite difficult

I just bought a new video card the other day, an ATI RADEON X1600. Cost me $300+ but it was worth it, now I just need money so I can buy Oblivion.

Boya!
No Spaceballs, but I guess that sells too well on its own. I'm just happy to finally have Men in Tights and Blazing Saddles on DVD.
Mel Brooks needs to make a movie with Bruce Campbell just so we can see this bit of dialouge.
Bruce Campbell: Hail to the King, Baby!
Mel Brooks: Its good to be the king.

Yay for 1999 standard gaming = EaW
Rome TW outshines EaW as an RTS in every possible, imaginable way. EaW is just some more flogging of the SW License by Lucasarts, who seem to have forgotten the days where they used to be industry leaders with revolutionary games. (*KOTOR is the only exception and that can be attributed to the awesome BioWare's contribution) [/end rant]

I would hardly call them terrible, especially considering the amount of characters items you can have generated on screen etc. The TW engine has been used to create visual dramatisations of classic battles on TV shows, so its not "terrible" by any stretch. Plus, RTW is definitely one of those games where gameplay brilliance outshines all else, as in all great games. Rememeber TiE Fighter....
But to check it out for yourself, theres a pretty cool demo

PS -> $59
Total Price: $383
hehe, definately not bad considering that the video card alone retails for almost $350.

lolz...alot of mailed autographs are signed by stars publicists - seriously. I had a photo from one of my fave singers that was sent in the mail. A few years later, I actually met her and she signed it(and not in a huge rush either). The signature was *really* different ! I asked her about this and she let me in on that showbiz secret

well, the problem is that i don't have a digital still camera at my disposal for basic stuff such as that. i have a traditional 35mm, but that takes time to finish the film, develop it somewhere, and then scan it into the computer.
besides, the best i could do now would be to give you a pic of the inside of my case.

hehe... Ive found Im really missing my PDA(pocket pc) when Im out on site and overseas(its not always practical to lug around a laptop), so I looked around to find one that:
*was a phone that supported the 3G carrier im on(video calls and mobile internet access)
*wi-fi : hotspot access at uni/hotels/airports
*bluetooth : connectivity at home, and linking the phone and sharing media files with my Toyota Prius!!
*keyboard component but one which has a screen which flips around like a tablet pc
*ran the new windows mobile 5 OS for streamliningg, remote services etc
*so work has been nice enough to help me get one of these... I cant wait to pick it up next week
mmm...geeky
Is about the size of my previous pocket pc, its actually very similar in size to a Nintendo DS (12 by 8 cms) - so not hugely wieldy to carry around.

I also got a bunch of free comics because it was 'free comic day' but they were all generic comics that said free comic day on them.
EDIT: I just got this:

I had gotten a blue one for Christmas but wanted to get the red one, and they just now got them in stock. Rediculous, but I'm glad I got it. Well, that's not the one I got, I got #32, but they didn't have a picture of it.

I haven't read this issue yet but I got issue 0 for a quarter last month and it just had all the characters in it and described them. It seemed a little far our there but it doesn't look bad. I'm gonna get the first couple issues and see if it's any good before I decide whether I get it monthly.
