Shooting at the ground...

OK - I've been playing quite a bit of DM on Mercenary Server lately (can you say "frag fest"). I've seen a few good players approach me straight on with head down, blaster blazing shooting straight down at the ground and pow I'm dead.

Is this an animation glitch, or a tactic? What gives?

My pings are consistently in the 44 to 60 range, and good smooth play.

the other person has a really high ping, I'm not sure how it works, the other player sees it as aming forward

Also I've noticed that when you're lagged, sometimes it helps to rifle butt (not wrist blade) people... don't know quite why, but it helps!

It's repeatedly happening, Prefect, and I think it's just an animational glitch.
