Random crashes

I bought psychonauts t'other day and as far as I know my PC meets all the requirements, when I tried to install the 1.04 patch it says I have version 1.04.010 (which I'm assuming is correct) but my problem is that I can only play for about 10-15 minutes at a time without it crashing, causing me to have to reboot my PC. Can anyone help?

I have this exact same problem, and just finished updating my video drivers to their newest version. The game still can't go more than about five, maybe ten minutes before crashing.

Be sure you have the latest Windows DirectX as well.

If that doesn't help, then

- Run a hard disk surface scan.
- Defragment your hard drive.

After that, try the standard stuff.

Retry.
Reboot.
Reinstall
