But the drugs make you feel all happy like the XTC and then you fly away. Then you wake up and that's when it turns bad.

But of course I'm only guessing...

I can tell. I have 100% gaydar. Kinda. Not really.

Whatever, the point is Myspace is only a fad, and in about a year everyone will stop updating their myspace and start using a new version of blogging.

Aren't diaries completely different from blogs (for the most part)?
A blog is a place where you tell people what you're up to, how you're feeling and your dreams and plans.

Whereas, a diary is something that can burn easily.

Either way, keeping you personal thoughts in your head where no one will find them is much better.

"Blog" is a very widely used term, and it's often misinterpreted as meaning the same thing as "diary/journal". While there are endless personal blogs, just as many focus on specific themes and have nothing at all to do with a certain individual other than their opinion, and sometimes dozens of people work on the same blog.

Some quick examples are Joystiq and Kotaku, both of which are on networks with loads of other themed blogs. Then of course there's my own blog (link in signature) where I don't think I've ever made a post about myself.

It tends to be the themed blogs that become successful, since nobody's really that interested in random blokes/girls unless they're particularly notable. It's best to just think of blogs as "a place to convey thoughts". Whether they're about you or a popular subject many can relate to is a whole different story.

I think it should be pointed out that "Blog" = "WebLog" for the slow among us (apart from me). I still think it should be " 'blog " rather than " Blog "

Actually a lot of the reasons Thrik pointed out about why themed blogs work a lot better than personal ones are basically the same reasons I don't myself have a blog, I have nothing interesting to talk about and I don't know 5 people who'd want to listen to me talk about myself.

Blog has been adopted as a generic internet term now in the same way n00b has. Whilst it does originate from the word (or words) weblog, I think we're stuck with Blog now.

Did anyone think of something up your nose upon first hearing "blog"?

Yeah, me neither....

Edit: I know this is irrelevant, but Ave, you have close to 10,000 posts and you've only been here about 11 months?!

Edit2:26 posts a day? I feel so... so used.

seeing how over 100 million people have a myspace and many use it on a daily basis, i would say that it isn't necessarily out yet.

The losers table, I just say that for the equivilant of stooping really low. I mean, there's not such a thing in today's socity as a losers table (Everyone's labeled somthing. Preps, asians, emos. that whole thing that bugs the crap outta me.)

But if you sit at the losers table, I'd be all "OH NOZ!"

Not my school. We sometimes have mix-it-up day where everyone from different social groups awkwardly eats lunch together in silence.

And also the preps don't rule out school, I do! kinda, I mean, I'm popular in the sence that everyone knows who I am. Either from being Bodhi's cousin, that crazy girl, the chick who sings good, ect.

Well, in Britain, we simply have groups of friends who weren't anything special. I tended to migrate from group to group, never staying in one long enough to actually become one of them.

I google searched LucasForums (I typed lucasforums into google rather than the adress bar by mistake) and it came up with a bugmenot* account for LucasForums called "d0sd0". I was curious so signed in under that name to see if it worked but forgot to sign back out. Curiously, "D0sd0" had 7 posts in their name.

After reading Ave's and Mole's posts, I conclude that America is f*cking weird. Also, I heard that some places in America don't get sex-ed which is kinda wrong.

Oh, and for funny/rather good t-shirts, Smell Your Mum is where to go.

*bugmenot is a website that creates artificial accounts on various websites in an attempt to filter out junk mail.

Yeah, I've used bugmenot on various occasion to get articles and whatnot which would otherwise have needed me to register to places. Good resource that (for those curious, that's www.bugmenot.com, just insert the url of the page you're trying to access and bugmenot'll do the rest). Oh, and by the way, bugmenot doesn't come up with the accounts, people make them up and then post them to bugmenot to be listed. It's a community thing.

ThinkGeek is a good place for funny T-Shirts also.

Hmm, I should have really known that bugmenot hat an LF account, but never really thought about it.

*Browses site* It's okay, whilst I'm all against chavs I don't really feel the need to advertise the fact. The rest just seems to be all end of f*cks. I prefer my t-shirt slogans to be clever funny, not obscene funny.

perhaps hot topic doesn't have 100% creepy clothes.

i don't know if there are any in the UK, but unless you've actually walked past one and seen all the freaks in there you wouldn't think it was that bad. i personally had heard some people like "holy crap hot topic is freaky" but i'd never seen one until a few weeks ago, walking past it in the mall. and that was when i understood what they meant. it's a very scary store.

allegedly my parents took me there to get a halloween costume when i was like 9, lol. and i was like "i dont like it here, let's leave, PLEASE" because i was so scared. i don't remember even setting foot in there but...yeah.

So, it's like a McDonalds in England, only with goths/emos and whatever instead of chavs. I'd rather walk past a Hot Topic and have people say "hi" or something rather than walk past McDonalds and have someone say "COME ON THEN DICK HEAD!" and throw the wrapper from their big-mac at me, only to watch it float around in front of him before it falling to the floor making everyone laugh and the chav stab someone. That was just a hypothesasosesee by the way.
