Han shot first
Well, on 12 September Lucasfilm will be re-re-re-releasing the original theatrical versions of the original trilogy.
I think I'll probably get them, because I love the originals more than the special editions and I left my VHS copies of the original trilogy at home with my VCR. I'll probably only have a DVD player from now on, I already tried and failed to copy my tapes to DVDs, and they're "only" $50 for all three on Amazon. I figure I can rationalize that. 
What to you think? Is this a godsend, or has Lucasfilm finally gone too far with marketing?

Nothing is free...it's all about making money.
It's not on my "too-buy-immediatly" list for sure. I might get it later when the price will drop.

I definitely want to get the originals on dvd. I like my dvd set that I have but there certainly is some of their "remastering" that actually made it worse.

Okay, I lied. I bought 'em. Since I just bought the Prequels and the cartoon Clone Wars series. I just decided to finish off the saga. Also, I was paid yesterday, too.
