myspace.....i remember when it was xanga and livejournal.
woke up today at around 8:30, was at my parents' place babysitting the dog and cats and got all my laundry done while i was there...came home and played some star wars galaxies, respec'd my expertise again...this time i actually stand a fair chance against jedi, but i still lose. After playing that for an hour, I got angry since the bounty hunter mission terminal bugged and it wouldn't allow me to accept another mission, and so dropped myself and did 30 perfect push ups...so i figured i'd throw in one of my tae bo tapes, the ab builder one, now i'm gonna have a tummy ache.
I only have to "work" 4 hours tonight...so i'm just sitting around..I may put my laundry away sometime and lift some weights before work. the good thing about being dropped to part-time is i have more time to work out...just wish it wasn't icy on the roads so i could go jogging.
So tomorrow is Presidents Day. Well HAPPY PRESIDENTS DAY to all the Presidents that may be visiting this small corner of the internet.
Right now I'm listening to some trancey stuff off of www.di.fm i miss having those Unreal Tournament GOTY frenzies where i'd blare that and go on a killing spree. good times....
Almost 2 weeks until March.....I'll probably visit or call a u.s. army recruiter and see what's up if things don't turn around for me by then...

**** you all.
Yeah, I know. A week ago I probably would have said the same thing. In fact, in one of my recent posts to this thread I'm pretty sure I did say that very thing.
I don't know exactly what possessed me recently to take this step... but I just hope it can be exorcised...

So, yesterday... yesterday, I, uh... I spent practically every waking moment sitting in front of the PC, getting my page set up, and tracking down people I may know. Except for eating, showering, and bathroom breaks... that was pretty much it.
Thrilling, no?
Well, that's it... I have to finally admit it to myself: I am officially an Internet addict. No point in denying it now.
Yeah, the first big benefit of being a Myspace member that I can see is that it solves the big problem I had in that there were a couple minutes a day that I wasn't already sitting at the computer. This should truly correct that deficiency.
So, where the hell are all my LF peeps?!?? I've got Cracken, Nitro, and Wildstar... but I know there must be more than that out there. Don't make me come after you... won't be pleasant for either of us.

So... Add me anyway.
Now that I am on I want to be the biggest popularity whore Myspace has ever seen! And that's a pretty high standard to meet.
Took some time away from the comp today and watched E.T.
Way too damn cold outside to go out for very long... so I didn't. Not for long anyways...

See kids: Horror can be avoided with Myspace.
Face it: we all know Keyan actually has 16 different Myspace personas... he just doesn't want to admit it and appear desperate and needy of the attention in front of us.
Or is he more of a Facebook fellow...?
Work was, for the most part, pretty uneventful. A little chiding over the page... but that was to be expected, I guess.
Totally crazy, out of control show on the stage tonight... but what the hell do I care? It's not my night to work!
But I stuck around long enough to help the other engineer set up... mostly by labeling and configuring the board for her while she dealt with the chaos on stage. Hopefully that saved her some time and effort, and made some of the rest of the night go easy.

On the contrary my good fellow. My life is shrouded in mystery. No one on the Internet has ever even seen a picture of me. And so shall it remain...FOREVER. Or at least until next Tuesday. Whichever comes first.

eh i looked up my name on google and well i found some disturbing stuff i wrote when i was 18...like a autobiography...and i was still in florida at the time, i even had a list of goals to accomplish by the time i turn 24....i did accomplish 2 of them at least.
i got my income tax return today, so i payed my cable bills, i got more than i expected, which is good i guess, probably going to just save it i guess....tomorrow i have to save half my check for rent, and pay my insurance bill.
Playing Ghost Recon 2 Summit Strike, and i must say that it is intense!!! After i beat it, gonna go and get Advanced Warfighter. I dunno which role i like more, marksman or gunner.....gunner you get a hellalot of firepower, marksman you can snipe. I like overrunning machinegun nests and taking command and blowing **** up. it's awesome.
I've also got Galaxies running on my computer, so probably going to reset my expertise since i lose action way too fast....i do have alot of damage mitigation though, which is nice...but it's not that great for pvp.

Yesterday at work: Should have been easier.
Same player for both the clinic and show. We had almost zero information about the set-ups of each, so we made some educated guesses, and set up in what we thought would be the most logical configurations.
We were wrong in almost every instance.
It also didn't help that the special guest player was pickier than a truck full of mining tools... (Think about it for a second... you'll get it. )
It was also a slightly longer day than I would prefer, if I had any choice about it... which I don't.
Still, it was far less stressful than my typical night on the job,.. so that should count for something.
In other news: I now have 2 of the Mythbusters cast and one world-renowned physicist as Myspace friends... I rock!
Of course, this is far overbalanced in favor of all the bottom-feeding low-lifes I normally find myself associated with... present company included.
Gotta do something to class up my page better...

I. AM. SO. PISSED.
OK, so remember the girl I was all crazy about, but couldn't ask out because she had a boyfriend she had apparently been seeing for a long time? Well, I sent her an e-mail just to catch up since I hadn't talked to her since Christmas, asked how her Valentine's Day was and all that. Well, she said she just started dating someone new. DAMMIT. I guess that's what I get for not talking to her for two months - missed opportunity.
On one hand, at least she isn't getting married to that guy. (I don't even know if that's where they were, just a deduction on my part.) But on the other hand, now she's seeing someone new.
Well, I just said to myself..."**** it." I waited that one out because there was nothing else I could do. But this new one is just getting started, not serious yet, I guess, and I figured there will probably never be a better opportunity to tell her that I am interested. So, I replied and told her that I was a bit disappointed to hear that, since if I had known she was available, I would have liked to ask her out. Just real casual, nothing mushy or dramatic. I figure that's the best I could do. I pretty much couldn't stand NOT to do it. So if she just has absolutely no interest in me, I guess she'll say so now, and I can stop thinking about it.
Maybe that was a mistake, but what the hell...gotta live a little, right?

exactly keyan, go big or go home!
Today is not shaping up to be a good day.
Software install on a user machine went AWFUL, was afraid it was going to, and it did. Its this awful conglomeration of software, and once its messed up, the only option is to format and reinstall, even apparantly with a verison upgrade!
Have an interview later today with a newspaper from a close by town(the Bloomington-Normal Pantagraph) about the downtown wireless project. Its tough mostly because the last article written, ignored the City(my employers) part in it totally, and the person that they talked to at CUWiN snubbed us pretty bad. We are very worried its going to happen again, and its too late for us to deep six the project on them anyways, because our City Council loves it now.
And I can't really insult the project, I'm friends with 2 of the guys that work there, and it looks bad for us, even though they ****ed us over hardcore on the last article which was by the local paper. We got mentioned in passing as providing resources, those resources being 95% of the equipment used, tons of man hours, and the push to get it done. You can imagine how me, my boss, and his boss who is in charge of the budget(and gave us 5 figures in budget $$ to work with these guys with) felt about being snubbed.
So now its up to me to make us look great and try and steer the article/writer from sucking the grant funded projects preverbial genitalia throughout the whole thing. They are talking to a different person at the project this time, thats a 'friend' of mine, and not the guy that runs it and seems very self important........so that should help.
