We Are All One, by Jesper and Angela Kyd. I can't honestly tell you -why- I like it, it's not really my usual music - although, I do like most of Jesper Kyd's work.

I came across this the other day, and I'm still struck by how moving a piece it is.

King Arthur has some fantastic bits in it. Always find it strange that after Purcell English opera completely died out. Not even Handel could really resurrect it, it seems.
The third movement of Beethoven's 'Emperor' piano concerto, conducted by Daniel Barenboim from the piano. It's connected to the deeply tragic second movement by that low bass hum you can hear at the beginning as the pieces of the theme coalesce on the piano, like the still more magnificent 5th Symphony's third/fourth movements.
Been listening to a lot of Handel lately. The universally recognisable Hallelujah Chorus from his Messiah oratorio, Sir Colin Davis conducting the LSO.
See, Sabre, Western classical music doesn't have to be quiet and slow. It can be joyful like Beethoven and Handel!

good song, more reasons for me to like prog or tech death over plain death metal. The singer gives me these Anthems to the Welkin at dusk era Ihsahn vibes in his tone and that's never bad.

The History Channel, via Twitter informs me that Calamity Jane was born this day in 1853. And, like magic, this popped into my head.

I know this is digging up the thread, but I had to share this music with some people who MIGHT care...
Nujabes did a lot of the soundtrack for Samurai Champloo so that's how I discovered his music. While this is a Samurai Champloo song, I find it incredible in its own right. Give Nujabes a listen if you like this song.

Agreed. I just got round to playing Medieval II. Neat that they got a song off the main menu like in Rome. Rome's soundtrack was more awesome though.

In anticipation of the kings returning to prime time television this fall to infect a whole new generation of youth and to give supernatural powers to those of us who came before, I raise you that which cuts as close to the PG-13 border as can be:
GWAR, the album This Toilet Earth, JACK THE WORLD!
Saber probably knows what I'm talking about, but in case the rest of you don't know what I'm referring to:
BTW it's actually 16 bit though I would not mind an 8 bit rendition either!
Their music video, uhh, review (Uhh-huhuhuhuh-huhuhuh):
Love me, I win.
Hate me, I win.
Ignore me, I've got exactly what I wanted.
Love me or hate me, you're still thinking of me either way.
