Jordan by Buckethead, kinda funkly little pice of...something, with that (in)famous solo that anyone who has play GH2 knows.
Know Your Enemy by Rage Against The Machine, again a little funky thing with a good riff.
Two Minutes To Midnight by Iron Maiden, awesome guitar part, classic Iron Maiden.
Back In Black by AC/DC, 'nuff said

Love is goooonnnne. Europe has some good DJs eh.
Oooh and for those who don't know...
Operation Ground and Pound by Dragonforce
Not their best IMO, but the first I heard Don't ask questions about their lyrics or anything, power metal should not be taken too seriously.

All of DragonForce's songs sound the same to me. Though, I don't mind them.
I've been adding a ton of tunes. But one of my favs would have to be "What is Love?" by Haddaway. Gawd, I wish I could remember all those other songs from a decade ago.

J.S. Bach - Brandenburg Concerto No. 2 in F major >
Concertino: trumpet in F, recorder, oboe, violin
Ripieno: two violins, viola, violone, and basso continuo (including harpsichord).
There is a very good reason Carl Sagan chose this(1st Allegro) as Track 1. on The Voyager Satellite's Golden Record, representing the music of the peoples of earth. It is quite simply the most perfectly metered countrepoint piece of music ever written.
Over the years, Ive played it to many friends who are not classical music fans, and its effect is instant. Not the clamour of Beethoven, or twiddly melodrama of Mozart, Bach's music is an example of the greatness and beauty humanity can strive for...quite fitting that his music ended up on Voyager IMO.

I really should have read the rules before posting here last night...
Anyway, now I am listening to T.V. Eye by The Stooges. A classic protopunk track from the equally classic Fun House album. While musically and lyrically rather simplistic, it's brought to life by Iggy Pop's vocals and Ron Asheton's excellent guitar work.
Now it changed into 1970 from the same album (I skipped "Dirt" even though it's a nice song as well). Once again a track based on a couple of simple riffs, but about halfway through the song Steve MacKay's saxophone creeps in from out of nowhere causing the rest of the album to go into psychedelic hyper mode.
And since I'm taking forever to post this, the title track of Fun House started playing. This song has a nice funky vibe to it, and Iggy sounds as maniacal as ever.
Gimme danger, little stranger... and I'll feel your disease.

Listening to Falling Up. They've got an interesting sound, kind of a mix of different things. Piano, strings, guitars, singing, a little rap, some techno-ish sounds mixed in...an interesting blend. Plus they just have an interesting name.

These days I've been on a bit of a music blitz, but Imogen Heap stands out. She is a very talented techno singer/songwriter who's got a bit of Feist in her. Very interesting sound, to be sure! If you're a fan of the Dear Sister parody on SNL, you've probably heard her before.

All the Small things by Blink-182
I like the music video of this song, one of the funniest band around, too bad that was a long time ago
Eruption by Van Halen
One of the coolest guitar solo ever IMO
Breathe into Me by Red
Heard it over a friend's house, liked it and bought it, worth the .99 fee from iTunes

Irving Jacobson - Man of La Mancha(I, Don Quixote)
I'm rather addicted to this song after seeing an AMV done to it. If you didn't guess or don't know, it's from the play: Man of La Mancha, it's about Don Quixote. This track is sung by Jacobson, and he has a wonderful voice, the part with Pancho is some of the most grating noise you'll ever hear though. Besides that, it's aboslute awesome, a great song to get stuck in your head.

On my phone atm:
Black Sabbath - Heaven and Hell
Best Sabbath album ever and one of the best Rock/Metal albums ever too, Ronnie James >>> Ozzy
Dio - The Very Beast of Dio
Awesome Dio compilation!
Iron Maiden - Best of the Beast (2 CDs)
What more can I say? Pure classic metal!
Killswitch Engage - The End of Heartache/As Daylight Dies
Damn good albums again, one of the pioneering bands of metalcore and Howard Jones is still an awesome vocalist.
Lynard Skynard - Vicious Cycle
Again, a masterpiece of an album.

Another member introduced me to Alestorm. It is "true Scottish Pirate Metal". It is similar to Dragonforce except better IMO.
There are a bunch of videos just playing the music. Just check some of them out. Link. I recommend "Captain Morgan's Revenge" and "Over the Seas".

Blackfield, by Blackfield, off the album(you guessed it) Blackfield.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=DrIqp4vBgP8
Blackfield(the band) is a collaboration between Porcupine Tree's Steven Wilson and Aviv Geffen. Stylistically they are quite similar to PT, and therefore awesome. Good song, good video.

At the moment, I've got Sensorium playing by the Dutch metal group Epica. Not many people I know are into metal music, and even of the few metalheads I know, only a handful of them have ever heard of Epica. They're a female fronted Symphonic Metal group, almost bordering on the Progressive Metal genre with some of their newer stuff. They sort of grew out of After Forever, after their guitar player and growler, Mark Jansen, left.
Anyone else a fan, or even heard of them?

Listening to Supernatural Superserious from R.E.M.'s new album Accelerate
I'm positively surprised, since Around the Sun was so boring and well, mediocre. They haven't made a decent album for some time, but Accelerate brings R.E.M. back to It's roots.

Ravnas reminded me that I haven't listened to much R.E.M. lately so I just went on a binge and listened to Nightswimming, Losing My Religion and Daysleeper. I haven't gotten a chance to listen to Accelerate yet but I'm hoping it's really the throwback that I hear it is.
Hey, did anyone else hear that STP is getting back together?

Currently listening to.. Something About Us by Daft Punk. I found out they were French when researching french musicans. Which is cool because if I ever meet them, I'm learning French, and I was a Daft fan BEFORE Kayne sampled them, so yay.
Also, on the subject of R.E.M. I just recently decided to buy Losing my Religion on iTunes and I love it. I'm gonna look at more of their stuff as soon as I get more money.
"A few times in my life I've had moments of absolute clarity. When for a few brief seconds, the silence drowns out the noise and I can feel rather than think, and things seem so sharp and the world seems so fresh. I can never make these moments last. I cling to them, but like everything, they fade. I've lived my life on these moments. They pull me back to the present and I realize that everything is exactly the way it was meant to be."

I actually really despise Death Metal, I just can't stand it, or any other metal which sounds like wild donkeys dying, but this is actually a really good song, the only one I like from Children of Bodom and that entire genre.
