Hey psst, laptop experts, I have a question

So I did not put this in the Very Good Things Thread, because it is a Christmas present I did not open yet.

I am getting a lap top to replace my aging desktop. I am very broke and unemployed at the moment, so I had very little to work with. I AM hoping however that my new laptop will at least run Star Trek Online, and Star Wars The Old Republic.

mine runs it fine and i only spent $500 on it...and i run swtor in high detail mode.

Good to know. All this time, my last Pc could not run it. Star Trek installed fine, yet crashed at character creation menu. I just hope to be able to play the game at all.

i wouldnt know about first person shooters, well newer ones...and other graphics intensive games like that how they would run on this, i just know that diablo 3 and swtor i can run in high graphics.

The present-model A6's GPU is a lot weaker than the older one's. Rogue15 has the older one.

There should still be some good deals on laptops with the previous generation of AMD APUs, and you won't see much of a difference in CPU power, if any.

thats probably why i got it on sale back in may at staples for $510, and walmart had it a month later on clearance for $400. so you could probably find it on amazon.com or somewhere for less than $400 if you are getting it just for mmorpgs like i did, only thing i need to invest in for it is a cooling thing cause swtor heats it up.

I am HAPPY to say after a days worth of downloading the game is running smoothe! My Character is a warrior Sith, Zabrak named Lord Groovy!
