It would be impossible to compare cause these are 2 diffrent worlds we're talking about. ODSTs use real life ammo as it is but you still have the plasma weapons. You simply cant compare the 2. Period.

Yeah and I started that thread years ago. Dont believe me go look. The Commandos vs Spartans debate is over. I was hoping with that one over we wouldnt get any other vs threads. Guess I was wrong. Can we please just let these threads die. Talk about the books or something but enough with the comparing.
Come one guys, let him have his fun. If you would scientifically look at their armour, and weapons you'd easily be able to tell who would win. It would have nothing to do with there warrior ability, because both units can shoot, and they don't miss.
[EDIT] Well, I did some studying on the subject and found that the answer is simple and the battle wound not last more than a minute or so at tops. The weapons and amour of the ODST's are relatively "weak" compared to that of the commandos. The amour they use is called "body amour." While it's good for what they do, it very vulnerable to plasma weapons. And we all know that not just the commandos, but everyone in the SW Universe use plasma weapons. Secondly, the ODSTs do not have a specified weapon, or weapon of choice from what I can tell. They simply use any UNSC small arms, plus a close quarters combat knife, which won't do them any good against commandos.
Now, for the RC side of the story. Their armour as you know is called "Katarn Armour" and is quit strong. It can easily take multiple blows from a low powered blaster, or a direct stab from a knife (Xs out the C-Knife). The weapons they use are of course, the DC-17m Blaster Rifle, plus a Anti amour attachment and sniper attachment. They are also equipped with a DC-15s blaster pistol and a knuckle plate vibro blade.
The conclusion is simple. The commandos would win because they have the superior technology, and more than likely better tactics.
So there you have it, my opinion. Anyone care to differ?
well althought they are hard to compare as they are in diferent universes but the Commando would win every time
