Aren't they a little too old to be mods? Which ones did you think were and weren't?

Very interesting finds indeed. But as some here already mentioned some stuff was probably taken for promotional releases and/or from early stages of game development (hence the different HUD!).

The Bith thingy was already restored in a mod/restoration if I am not mistaken, although I can't find it.

The most interesting other part to me is the republic soldier on Dantooine. I only have the German version of the game, but if you can find the lines from the screen shot in the dialog file, there might be even more to restore. Can you please check it?

A pity all those cool stuff was cut...

Take care

The main HUD health/party health would be a change. I wonder if it's possible to create it.

Well Dan, the two that i immediatly thought were from mods were...

Sith on Dantooine (After Leviathan?)
Cut Manaan quest? Trask and Saul?...

weren't too sure on the others.

Cut Gamorrean deaths?-you actually can attack them if you do the correct conversation.

I couldn’t find anything on the Republic soldier in Kotor Tool. Judging from his dialog in the screen shot he wouldn’t have came until after the Leviathan. If someone ever restores going back to Dantooine then they’d probably have to have a small garrison of troops there before the Leviathan so it makes sence.

Were all “four now” Biths restored? Did they have voice overs?

There’s not enough information really. What about party members, solo mode, and stealth?

I removed that. I also found that a few other NPCs in the Undercity were cut. I guess I'll add them to the Gamorrean Stronghold restoration. Also, the extra Ronto by the hanger is comfirmed as cut.

I did a search and found nothing. Looks to me like they either deleted it, or just photoshopped the text for looks.

Okay, that confirms it. It's changed. Looks like they're still cut from Dantooine though: http://youtube.com/watch?v=azWRLp-nt84

Edit: But, they are only on Kashyyyk canonically, so that's a logical reason for it being cut.

I found a bit of dialogue on Dantooine I think may be from the cut return:

Quote:
Carth: Patrol droids - they may be programmed to attack on sight!
There might be some more left over after all.

I also found an icon for a glowrod item. Strange.

I think I've seen that before...I always thought it was related to this for some reason:

#50. Apparently you had to do some extra work if you wanted to enter the burial mound on Dantooine as evidenced by a sound file of Bastila talking about how to open it.

The sound file can be found in "\streamwaves\m13aa\bast01".

That's interesting. Can you upload a picture?

On another note, has anyone ever seen this in game? http://screenshots.teamxbox.com/scre...-Old-Republic/

And here's a cut Dewback on Tatooine http://www.gamespot.com/pages/image_...=556553&img=60

Hmm...could be. It's strange that Bastila doesn't mention any droids, though. Sounds like you were supposed to just watch the vision again, and that would tell you how Revan opened the door.

It's in ERFs --> Texture Packs --> _gui --> I--> ii_glowrod_001 if you want an uncompressed version.

Yeah, I've seen it before. I haven' the faintest clue how it's related to the game at all. Nice picture, though.

I also found a 'collarlight' that was supposed to be some kind of neck piece. Here's a pic.

Another cut item is a 'recordrod' that resembles the communicator used in the Original Trilogy.

Some other things (I think) is that belts and armbands may at one time have been supposed to be equippable models. I found a whole stock of armband and belt models. Implants too.

There are also some unused force power icons, one I remember is force control.

In addition, there is a 'sebulba' .utc file and a soundset file too. But the sounds are nonexistant.

Updating, any progress that is not included pls PM me. thanks and great work by everyone on the continuing Restorations. Now that we know the future of the KoTOR universe coming from LucasArts and Biowar, the enhancement of KoTOR I and II will need to come from community restorations and mods.

Chris, not to disappoint you, but everything that could be restored is already done. Admittedly there are still "unused" bits and pieces, but its to little to make a restoration of.
The Sleheyron Project (which is still worked on - kind of) is not a restoration per se. Everything else which comes up now is pure modding (which isn't a bad thing, mind you!).

I've got a Korriban thing that I made that allows you to take the party members into the last tomb with you, and hear their lines about the map.(it also has an modified version of Bastilla on Korriban.)

Great work, Pikmin. I tried the Bastila on Korriban-mod once, but when Bastila told me that she can't acompany me and seconds later I can add her to my party, it killed it for me.

It nonetheless is interesting what Bastila on Korriban and the other party members in the tomb have to say, I give you that :-) .

I disagree. Looking at the list, numbers 5, 6, 10, 11 (I'm doing 11 next), 12 (didn't Jeebus restore this?), 13, 14, 15, 17, 19, 20 (I'm restoring 20 with 11), 21, 23, 28, 31, 36, 42, 46, 47, 48, 50, 51, 52, 53, 55, and 56 can still be restored.

@Payne: Thank you! Age takes its toll.

@Dan: You might be right, and I was to quick with my conclusion. The question is, how much of your Gamorrean Stronghold is your own devicing and how much original content. The new Shadowland part I did is all made up by me, for example. So in my eyes its no restoration, merely a mod. As time permits, I might give the list another glance over :-) .

Take care

As a compiler, I try to gather the information for whatever anyone feels drawn to work on to contribute. Restoration can cover a range of degrees from replacing things left out by mistake to major elements that were not completed but were worked on by the orignal design team and part of which are still present. It is an individual choice, and any effort to the common good is a plus in my humble opinion. Much has been achieved, and more remains for future effort. And I admire very much the efforts on the Sleheyron Project and all the other work past, present and what may come.

If I was to send someone my mod would you be able to test it and take screenshots for me? PM if you are available.

EDIT: I'm also working on the Return to Dantoine.

My idea is that the Republic sent troops to Dantoine as a defense measure, and when the sith attack several of them are taken prisoner. You recieve a distress call from the jedi on dantoine, and head to Dantoine. When you drop out of hyperspace you recieve a transmission telling you that the enclave has been overrun and that you will have to land elsewhere, and are given cordinates for the Dantoine landing pad. After landing a republic soldier greets you and tells you several of his corp were captured and are being held in the enclave sublevel. You head there and defeat the sith and rescue the soldiers.

{Now you will be able to meet with Yathura if you save her right before/after the levithan.}

None of it was left over, save for that screenshot and interview. It was much like the restoration of Sleheyron...with a lot less information. None of the cut NPCs in the Undercity are "made up" though.

Do you mean that the Jedi called for help when they were attacked?

How does that work? A hologram like Admiral Dodonna did?

The enclave sub level will require a very skilled modder.

Yes, after the convo about you being Revan, T3 will tell you that you are receiving a communication and plug it into the holoprojector. It will probably be a Knight that calls for aid.

I was thinking that one yes, and since I don't think they left it in the game I was looking at the screens and I think a reskinned Tatooine dock would work.

Well, since she already has lines for appearing on Dantoine(in game actually). You won't be able to talk to her until you clear away the sith.

I threw together a quick web site for cut content. It has brief discriptions. http://www.freewebs.com/kotor1cutcontentlist/index.htm

It wasn't left in the game files, that's correct. I think that the hanger was suppose to be through the door South of where the Ebon Hawk usually lands. http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/xbox/file/556553/37172

If you can get someone capable of making the sub level and a ruined enclave then the hanger should be pretty basic for them.

If that's the case it would be better to say it is a quickly thrown together one. Anyway I guess if is custom made then it could look more the one in K2.

Then again, if you can land on a sandy beach then you can probably land on the plains of Dantooine.

Dxun then. I just don't think that they have a landing pad sitting around...unless you land on someone's house.

So you're saying that the ONLY landing pad was at the enclave?(which was probably Jedi use only.)

i think the republic soldier you see is the PC not an NPC

There is no Palpatine. No Empire. No Jedi. There is no Light. No Dark... Just you, and I, here, now.
