as strange as this may sound the ones in ff are too fantastical whereas the star wars villains are more down toearth, if that makes sense i mean theyre more real they arent in it for world domination or to become a god they want to rule what they can and kill you
There is no Palpatine. No Empire. No Jedi. There is no Light. No Dark... Just you, and I, here, now.

Plus the fact that almost every single FF villain always morphs into some sort of giant beast or unleashes something huge against you. Why can't they just fight fair?
But of course fighting them 4 (or three) against 1 isn't really fair

Giygas was pretty creepy, and Elite Four Gary was pretty awesome.

And the sound of their voice as they talked with the helmets on. Plus their heavy, Vader-like breathing.
Now onto specific judges, every one of them had very distinct personalities, and interesting ones, for that matter. The exceptions that corroborates the rule are Ghis and Bergan. Ghis because he was just a pet to Vayne and decided to spread his own wings, which led to his own demise. And Bergan was weak because he was simply a drug addict that was fooled by the apparent power of the Nethicite.
Gabranth is fantastic. He is, after all, a large part of the core from whole plot. Drace seemed like a smart woman. Not only she didn't fall for Vayne's trickery and convincing speeches, but she also warned Gabranth and formed a bound with him to protect Larsa's life. She would, as she did, die for her cause. Zargaabath is clearly the more mysterious of the judges and also looked the more human of them all. He doesn't plot, or at least he does it so secretly we never even see it. And for
spoiler:being the surviving judge
and for phrases like "The Empire's debts grow legion", he was much of my liking.
Still, I can't deny that being as important as to feature on the game's cover, the Judges felt largely underused. There could have been more of their scenes.

Final Fantasy villains are just so much better than the ones in Star Wars games...

not to mention every final fantasy character looks like a woman or at least a shemale........and its always save the world from the evil shemale once again! quite repetitive, not to say that star wars games arent repetitive they just have sum variety. example star wars battlefront you are the footsoldier, star wars empire at war you are the dude controlling everyone, kotor you are a jedi knight. whereas final fantasy you are almost always a common person who has to save the world from the huge effeminate villain

Agreed. Kerrigan is one of the coolest villains out there and the best part is she was a complete opposite before her infestation.
One other Starcraft villain that might be even cooler is Samir Duran. He's obviously a very intelligent, resourceful and patient being. He was around for who knows how long and has bided his time, performed his experiments and secretly created something very terrifying. Not to mention that he managed to successfully deceive both Kerrigan and the UED.
Another cool villain would be Moebius the Timestreamer from the Legacy of Kain series. Now that's one devious manipulator. He singlehandedly managed to manipulate history to his own advantage. In the end he was stopped though, by the very beings he used to accomplish his goals.
Now, I'm very surprised none of you fellow Bloodlines fans mentioned this one so far - the Hengeyokai. I mean, it's a giant bipedal demonic Hammerhead shark!! It can't get any cooler than that!
I agree with everyone who mentioned Master Li from Jade Empire. Suffice to say he was very cool and there's no need to repeat what has already been said about him.
I also agree that when it comes to cool appearances Saren is definitely one of the coolest - cool sinister voice, excellent physical appearance. It's too bad in the end he turned out to be a simple puppet. Sovereing was much more cooler, but I was disappointed we weren't able to enter that living ship and kick its ass from the inside.

I liked the Judges myself- though I wouldn't really call them villians. Mainly Ghis and Bergan are the few I could see as villians for reasons stated earlier.

I also seem to be one of the few that very much enjoyed Ultimecia, from FFVIII. Not an effeminate male evil person (even though Jecht wasn't? ) Wouldn't call Golbez a 'shemale' either. Also- FFXII the so-called 'main character' Ashe, is hardly a random civillian.
To love another person is to see the face of God.

Golbez wasn't the main villain of FFIV, and I'd really hesitate to call Kefka a Shemale. Think LONG and hard before you do that. Lord Kefka is always watching, and the Light of Judgment is at hand.
