Bug after minimizing XWA

I have the Problem that every time I minimize X-Wing Alliance the game crashes. that means, it does not cause an error message but after reactivating the game all models are gone and the camera is so far away that you are not able to play the game.
I play X-Wing Alliance v.2.02 and have got a GForce 7950GT with the latest Drivers

Are there any patches or solutions for the problem?

Don't minimize the game?

Or if you do at least < ESC > out to the option screen and don't have the flight engine running.

My computer isnt just a gaming-pc. i do a lot of other things on it, so i always minimize my games and play them on after a while.
of course i tried to do i in the option screen, but this didnt work, too

XWA and other games its age were not designed to be minimized. If you minimize it it will bug out, so you need to prioritize if you can't dedicate a full slot of time to your gaming.
