Thank you.
I'm definitely going to order a printout of some of these posters, as soon as I could find a good and affordable (online) print shop here in Norway. Not sure if I'm going for a size of 30x40 cm or 60x80 cm though...
Keep up the good work!

Okay, it's fixed, plus I've added 2 more versions with the S&M- and the HTR-logo (my versions though).
And on another note: Is anyone able to take a clean 600dpi scan of the "Outlaws"-US-box? (my German box has several stickers and logos the US-box doesn't have).

I have decided to do my two own versions of Laserschwert work, where I have added the number two and the monkey. I got the number and the monkey from the scan over at mojoart.mixnmojo.com
I first decided to do one version where I just put the monkey and the number two where it was placed on the original text. But I didn't like that the number covered a bit of LeChuck's hat so I made an other version where I've used GIMP's perspective tool to change the perspective on the number just a tad, so that it didn't cover the hat anymore...
Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge (Original artwork by Steve Purcell, original scan & clean-up by Laserschwert)
Version 1: This is the first version where the perspective isn't altered at all
Bigger preview
Full size download - "Monkey Island 2 - Poster - With the number 2 and the monkey.jpeg.bz2" (60x80cm @ 200dpi) 26.3 MiB
Version 2: This is the second version where I changed the perspective a tad
Bigger preview
Full size download - "Monkey Island 2 - Poster - With the number 2 and the monkey (changed the perspective).jpeg.bz2" (60x80cm @ 200dpi) 26.3 MiB
I've done these modifications using GIMP on Linux. I'm linking to the original .xcf files if someone wants to do some more tweaks on these images.
Version 1: Monkey Island 2 - Poster - With the number 2 and the monkey.xcf.bz2 (60x80cm @ 200dpi) 57.9 MiB
Version 2: Monkey Island 2 - Poster - With the number 2 and the monkey (changed the perspective).xcf.bz2 (60x80cm @ 200dpi) 57.8 MiB
I've also included PNG files of just the monkey and the number (the second layer of the .xcf file), if someone wishes to tweak these images using some other software.

Version 1: Monkey Island 2 - Only the number 2 and the monkey (resized).png.bz2 993 KiB
Version 2: Monkey Island 2 - Only the number 2 and the monkey (resized, changed the perspective).png.bz2 949.1 KiB
(Note, the images stored on imageshack.us is cropped to the size of the image (and, of course, only the preview images has a black background), while the .png.bz2 files stored on rapidspread has a resolution of 4724x6301, with a very big trasnparent background, so that you could very easily position the image on top of Laserschwert's original work)
Here is the original unresized version of the number and the monkey, a bit rough cut out, for those who would like to do the resizing themselfs (but then maybe you would like to do the cutout yourself?).
Monkey Island 2 - Only the number and the monkey (unresized, rough cut out).png.bz2 4 MiB
(The Imageshack.us and the rapidspread.com versions are the same).
Btw, I didn't use any filters on my modifications or any color corrections...
PS! 7-Zip is a great file archiving program wich also opens up bz2 files. :-)

Thanks for the great work, Far^Side, I'll add the numbered version to the opening post. I think you'll make some people really happy (Edit: done!)
Plus: I've added two versions of the "Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine"-poster.

Not really, I'd like to have a COMI canvas the same size as my other ones, with the same relative quality.

First of all major Kudos to Laserschwert for providing these wonderful source files for plastering my living room with
I have a question for the community though -- and please don't shoot me for it While the first Monkey Island is now my favourite adventure which I play on almost any electronic device I can get my hands on (and on which runs the ScummVM, something which kind of has become a must-have on the feature list for any new gadget for me), my first "love" actually was "Simon the Sorcerer" by Adventure Soft. Sadly, my original box disappeared somewhen during a move, and now I really regret not having a chance to get a high res scan of it myself. Does anyone of you maybe have that game still lying around and could provide me with a high resolution scan in something like the same size as Laserschwert's posters? I'd try my best to make that printable then as well

Welcome to the forums, foosel!
I also love Simon The Sorcerer. I think I have a box at home, but it's almost certainly the double pack box that had STS 2 on the cover as well. And it's at home, away from where I am at the moment, anyway.

I couldn't resist to upsize the box artwork to Daedalic's upcoming adventure "The Whispered World", as it is just too damn sweet:

In the end canvasses look better, and are cheaper after all the matting and framing.

Hello Guys!
Just a quick question here. I have this really small picture here:
[IMG] [/IMG]
I would really like to use it as a sign over a friend bar but being too small I guess the result would be rather ugly. Is it possible to make it bigger like the other posters in this threat? I would give it a try but my knowledge of image processing is beyond rubbish. Can any of the jedimaster give I a try?
BTW, the work done here is AMAZING! Bravo guy and thanks!
Mike.

Hmmm... that SCUMM Bar sign was done by Bill Tiller, if I remember rightly. It might be possible to ask him for a larger version, if he still has the original (it was a long time ago).
Welcome to the forums, btw, MikeAlex!

Thanks Gabez, glad to be here!
I believe the artwork of the early lucasarts games was really beautiful and I feel very lucky that there are talented people like Laserschwert and FarSide willing to bring the artwork to their initial size. If I'm not mistaken, they were paintings initialy, right?

That thing is not big enough for me to scale it up, sorry.
Furthermore, if you want a real-size version of that sign, you should go the whole way and make it out of wood an metal (or have it made by a professional, of course), don't you think? That'd be damn cool...

Remi might know more about the original SCUMM Bar artwork -- and I might ask Bill once he's had a rest from our nagging (he's just given us loads of information on his CMI work for our Secret History Article which will be up soon).
And yeah, they were all paintings, mainly by Steve Purcell (creator of Sam & Max). The back cover original painting of Monkey Island 2 was even sold on eBay once.

Good news: I've won an eBay-auction on the first two Simon-games recently, and I'm still waiting for them to arrive. It's the two DVD-case releases which have the artworks pretty much intact on their fronts, so I'll try to make posters out of those.

Hey, first time posting on these forums.
I've been lurking around this thread a fair bit, I'm a real fan of your work. I saw you put out a call for a scan of the outlaws cover art, and after a fair bit of searching and some help from a friend, I managed to find this. Is it high-rez enough to posterize? (I would have just scanned it but I only have the jewel case).
Link
Regardless, I'll definitely be printing off at least one of the Monkey Island posters and one of the Indiana Jones' as well.

Thanks, that looks good! Not as high-rez as I wished, but still the best one until now. I'll try to use it.
Little update: I've received my copies of the two "Simon the Sorcerer"-games today and started with a little clean-up.

I must say Laserscwhert, this is probably one of the more brilliant forumposts, and initiatives on the world wide web.
Thanks to you, and other contributors, I now have 1 Day of the Tentacle Star Wars poster and 1 Grim Fandango poster, both in A1 format, framed and hung on the wall in my living room. And the Curse of Monkey Island and Full Throttle 2 posters is ordered ! I will try to post pictures when I find a camera that actually does the posters justice.
But I had a question for you Laserschwert.
Earlier today I found the leaked teaser video for the (assumed) new project from Team ICO, named project Trico.
Link : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xF3fED8EXl4
And I have to admit, I haven't been this close to tears since I saw "My Girl" at the age of 11.
I was wondering if you, like myself, are a big fan of ICO and/or Shadow of the Colossus ?
Is this something you could imagine doing in the future ?

Funnily enough I've already done that ICO-poster as a request on another forum:
Full Size Download (with linen texture)
Full Size Download (without it)
But since I'm not familiar with either series, I don't have any plans to do more posters of them right now.

Thank you so much for your quick reply Laser ! And I am very grateful, and indeed lucky you have done the ICO one. It's going up on the wall ASAP!
Thank you thank you thank you !
Quick question, the "big" version of the Shadow of the Colossus thing, how big do you think I can print that up ? in the quality it is in now ?

The ico poster totally blows my mind! I worshipped this game from the day it has been released, thanks a lot for this contribution, laserschwert!
Would you mind telling me which forum it was where it was requested? Also, have you been doing posters for other games beside those you posted in this forum?
You're awesome!

It was the German movie-forum Cinefacts.de, so I doubt that'll be of much interest to you
The Adventure-Treff is now hosting all of my posters, and only one of them "The Book of Unwritten Tales" isn't posted here, I guess.
