Chikara snapped his mask back on, turned on the light, and cleared the bodies out to the hallway. He layed Araeana on the couch in the small apartment as he gathered the last of his things from the place, that he wanted. He sat and looked at Araeana... and thought.

Fifteen minutes later, Araeana regained consciousness. Araeana moaned quietly, her eyes slowly sliding open. She was disoriented. "Ch... Chikara?"

Chikara looked at her, his broken mask laying on the floor. "What?" he snapped.

"And... you... killed them... all..." It wasn't meant as a question. Araeana suddenly felt terrified, like a small animal trapped in the claws of a predator. She actually saw the man sitting across from her for the first time since their reunion. He had no regard for human life. None. She stood and asked, nearly hyperventilating, "Why am I still alive?"

Chikara raised his head, his face flawless and pale, less one long scar over his eye. "Would you rather not?" His saber extended in her direction.

Araeana shook her head. "You're not going to kill me, Chikara. That's why I'm afraid." She knew the words were true as soon as she spoke them, even though she didn't understand why. She felt a little braver as she stepped closer to Chikara's seat. "Why have you kept me alive?"

Chikara retracted his blade. "I fear for you, Araeana. You get by on luck. That contact you were meeting was going to kill you if I hadn't of exterminated him. That power I sought... You." Chikara didn't know why he was speaking like this at all. He shook his head and stood up, replacing half of his mask, only showing one eye, the Red one, with the scar. "We need to move. Now."

Araeana barely had a chance to register what Chikara had said before she was following him out of the carcass-scattered apartment.

Chikara ran straight out of the apartment, and was half-way down the corridor before Araeana was clear of the apartment door. "HURRY UP!" He ran back to her, and gripped her wrist. "MOVE!" he shouted. He dragged her down the corridor, bones splintering and flying every which-way.

"Wh- What`s the hurry all of a sudden?" Chikara wrenched on her arm. "Chikara!" Araeana screeched in pain. She struggled to keep up with his pace, so as to avoid dislocating her arm.

He sprinted toawrd the ship, and skidded, heading down an adjacent hall. "Leave it. We need to get out of here."

Chikara released her arm, letting her stumble over the corpses in the hall. "Fine then. Die." He began to sprint away from Araeana.

Araeana's feet were planted on the floor. She kept looking back and forth between Chikara's running figure and her beloved ship. She made her decision after what seemed like an eternity, but was in fact, a fraction of a second. "WE HAD BETTER BE COMING BACK FOR HER!!!" She shouted, running full tilt to catch up with Chikara.

Chikara stopped, and held out his metalic arm. He judged Araeana's pace and position by the sound. He hit at the right second to just keep her from sprinting off the edge.

Araeana was winded by the force of Chikara's mechanical arm hitting her hard in the ribs. She nearly fell to the ground. When she had regained her composure, she snapped, "Don't suppose you could've mentioned that ledge was there, huh?"

Chikara made an inhuman leap accross the chasm, dodging numerous cars. He reached out with his mechanical arm to grip the wall accross the alley several hundred metres down. they slowly came to a stop at another access tunnel.

Araeana let out a tiny scream, then locked her jaw closed to muffle the sound. She held on to Chikara for dear life. She heard the sound of tendons and wiring being stripped from Chikara's mechanical arm as his metal fingers dug into the wall, slowing their fall. When they finally dropped into the access tunnel, Araeana gasped, trying to regain her composure. "Don't you ever, EVER, do that to me again!"

Chikara wrenched his arm from her, and gripped her wrist tight, and began pulling her farther down the access tunnel, running faster than she could.

"Ugh! Not again!" Araeana sprinted as fast as she could, but still felt as though her arm was millimeters from dislocation. "Where are we going?" She yelled over the sound of their boots slapping the tunnel floor.

Chikara opened his mouth only for a fraction of a second before a loud explosion eruped and shook down through the tunnel.

"Get back on your feet!" He pulled her around a corner as a ((OOC- Very Theatrical)) wall of fire burned down through the tunnel.

Araeana scrambled back to her feet. She could feel the heat of the fireball closing in behind them. "Holy sh**t!!!" Adrenaline pulsed through her, allowing her to overtake Chikara. She quickly turned a corner and pulled him into an alcove with her, allowing the explosion to pass, leaving them unharmed. She pushed Chikara against the wall angrily. "That is IT! Neither of us is taking another step until you tell me exactly what is going on!"

"B-but..." Araeana looked back towards her beloved ship, imagining it as a flaming heap of wreckage. Finally she locked her arms around Chikara's mid-section, looking down at her boots with a resigned expression.

Chikara leaped off, holding Araeana to him, plummeting down several thousand meters and grabbing a ledge. A loud snap, they collapse on the metal floor of yet another access corridor.

meanwhile back at the ship three figures came into view after uncloaking. they where three assassin droids "check the ship" ordered the middle droid. the two other droids advanced onto the ship as the leading droid contacts the cloaked command ship in orbit
"sir we have captured the ship the sith was on but there appears to be no sign of him the droid said into the headset with a crackly voice, "you mean all those explosives you set off down there got nothing are you useless?" came a very raspy voice from the other end of headset, anyway at least we have his ship and its going to be harder for him to get off this planet.....bring the ship back here so we can check it over" said the voice. then the headset went silent as the droid boarded the ship and attempted to get it off the ground.

Kaden walked into the room and looked around at the dead bodies... He saw the lightsaber wounds, he knew it was Chikara... He sighed [Chikara, how could you be so cold?], and walked out of the room. After quickly dispatching the three droids, he got to the ledge and jumped. He used the force to keep himself from plummeting to his death, he grabbed a car in mid-air landed in the passenger's seat and told the driver to take him to the tunnel Chikara had disappeared in... He knew he was close, something was holding Chikara back.

just realizing that his droids where just dispatched unit 88 took his ship out of orbit. if he wanted Chikara dead he would have to do it himself and know he was even more excited for it seemed there was a new jedi for him to hunt.

Araeana disentangled herself from Chikara, feeling utterly sore. She got up and assisted Chikara in getting to his feet. "Are you okay?" She looked down and saw that half of his mechanical arm had snapped off, leaving him with a sparking stump. "Oh Chikara..." She sighed sympathetically.
