Favorite planet in KOTOR

What is your favorite planet in Knights of the Old Republic??? I would have to say Taris because I really like the layout.

^ Did you see any of those Taris maps that were released for Jedi Academy recently?
Really cool stuff, even if you aren't a fan of the game.

My favorite has gotta be Manaan. Ahto City was pretty cool looking, the Sith Base looked great and was a lot of fun. I thought the lab at the ocean floor was neat, as well.

It's gonna be Korriban for me, because I would love to explore those old temples and tombs.

I suppose that Taris was my favorite level, but because of the planet's features. I didn't care all that much for the game play and quests, but the surface and the rotting undercity were just different from any SW world. I really favored this most.

Korriban was my favorite for game play and character interactions, but didn't like the planet much.

Are you one of those poor Macintosh gamers that are in the possession of Empire at War, yet because of the scarcity of Mac players out there you have nobody to play against? If you are, PM me if you want to set up a game.

I enjoyed Manaan's tranquility and the design of Antho City. Aside from this, the gameplay aspect of Korriban was in my opinion the more entertaining when in comparison with the other planets.

Didn't the denizens of Manaan annoy you? Design for the planet was good, but I hated those froggers.

I'd vote for Korriban. Fun times.

I also liked Dantooine. After that I suppose it was Korriban, then Rakata Prime.

Kashyyyk was a pretty nice place, it would be pretty relaxing to be in that type of enviroment, does Kashyyyk remind anyone of that Donkey Kong level for the SNES?

I liked Dantooine for the planet's features, quiet, calm, green, open. My kinda place to relax and tend a garden full of vegetables!

For gameplay, I have to say Korriban was the most fun, for both light side and dark side. I loved the options for progressing your training and/or doing good without getting caught.

When it comes to gameplay, I'd have to say Taris, but I like Rakata Prime/Lehon/star forge system/uknown planet when it comes to design. It was very pretty. It was like paradise. Hopefully Bastila and Revan have a good real-estate agent, he or she could help them uy the temple and theyh could turn it into an academy.

Visually?
Manaan.
Gameplay?
If this didn't require PLANETS I'd say The Endar Spire, why? Because it really captured the whole war thing, not just you and your assortment of Jesus types and some Sketchy types playing around looking for maps, it was what KotOR needed more of.
TBH, I think Republic soldiers are close to having the LEAST appearances for a large number of characters.
But since I have to choose a cruddy planet, I'd say...Taris.
But you may be asking "Why? Why choose such a boring place that took hours to get done with?"
And to answer you: I dunno, I just do.
The quests seemed to be a lot more realistic and Star Warsy, without that whole 'You're a Jedi!' thing. I dunno, it might just be the overflow of Jedi in Star Wars, or maybe just me reading the X-Wing books, but I'm kinda liking the whole not having the force with you thing.
This would be especially hilarious if it turns out you don't have to pick force powers when you level up as a jedi, so I could just save it up until I've got so many damn force powers I can pick that I can just cast Force Dead on Darth Malak.
That'd be lulz.
But basically, KotOR seems to be broken into three types throughout the game, for 5 minutes: Soldier in Republic, for Taris: Merc, and for the entire rest of the game: Jedi.

"There is no way to be better than everyone else, but being kind and having a sense of humor certainly helps." -Me, my quote on life.

Well, Manaan has certainly grown more popular than, say, years ago when I first answered this question.

And the Ocean-wide planet still has my vote. I was always amazed by the environment there. And of course, Taris, a place more vibrant than most real locations. Even after playing for the nth time.

I totally agree. Manaan for me, due to the peaceful feeling, the annoyingly slow yet very cute Selkath, and the amazing modeling and texturing of the planet. The quests were fun, too. I liked being the Arbiter of Sunry, though most times the Judges find him guilty (I don't have a future as an attorney! ).
