Massive graphic corruption on first run of KOTOR2

yeah got it from a friend and i install it and, there is no Sion at the main menu and clicking into character creation well massive artifacts, attempt to continue into the game causes it to crash

Have you tried the Dantooine lag fix? It seems to help with newer drivers.

You're welcome.

Be glad that you have an X19xx series card, and not the later 3xxx or 4xxx series. They seem to have real trouble with these games, which is why I went with nVidia this time around.
