i hate this sinus infection/cold....might call off work tomorrow. i don't want to make anyone sick. but i need the money.....so i don't know what i'll do.
still fooling around with that girl through email. this is her myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/515052576
it appears real because her hometown is in ephrata, which is rather close to lancaster. she's not making too much sense on email, so i'm just playing along for now. i got her on yahoo instant messenger, and she added me there, i'll know for sure if she's real after i get in contact with her there.

First day back to work, and it was... uneventful.
Did some maintenance. Built some power drops (and repaired a few others) for the stage.
Exciting stuff. Really.

Just did it a couple of months ago.
I was paying the oil company on a monthly budget plan, but never used as much oil as I paid for each month... so the the unit and install were already paid for. No out of pocket expenses.
It just took 8 years of overpaying a little every month to get to that point.
But the new one is pretty awesome. The heat now comes up RIGHT AWAY... and the hot water is REALLY hot... not just tepid.
No regrets...

Ouchy.
But: it's equity in the house. Things like that go far towards resale value... not to mention the quality of life while you are living there.
My old one was the original unit from when the house was built: 1952, I think.
It was time...

yeah mine is the original 1969 unit.
its certainly good equity, I doubt that we woulda gotten the house for what we did if it had a recent furnance.

I believe they overhauled the boiler room in my apartment complex last winter or the winter before, so my heating situation is pretty good, as well.

that was awesome story hahahahaha.
that girl i've been emailing is a real person, not a bot. i have no idea how to get in touch outside of email though and she wants me to get on yahoo instant messenger. and of course my phone doesn't have a way to do that so when im at work on my lunch i can't just get on my phone. maybe i'll convince her to get aim. lol

These mornings are killing me.
Feels like it's going to be a long day...
Meeting up with M. after work to try to seal up some of the drafty windows in her apartment. She says her place is ALWAYS freezing... but she doesn't want to have to run the heat that high.
I'll see what can be done...

It's a good game... but I never had the time to devote to playing it properly.
I've come to like games I can play in short bursts and still make forward progress. (Guitar Hero; Forza...)
An epic RPG is just not really the game for me right now...
Spent the evening over M.'s place trying to seal windows. Tough. It's a seriously drafty place. I think I stemmed the worst of it... but all the plastic sheeting I put up is billowing in on the windows like the sails on a Spanish galleon.
I froze my *** of there while I was working. I can see why she complains. Her place costs a lot of money, and it's that cold and drafty... yikes!
She's going to have the landlord over to look at the window plastic bulging in like that (on closed and locked windows with the storms down) and see what he thinks. He should knock half the rent off... or agree to pay the heating bill all winter if you ask me.
Took her to eat afterwards at a Japanese hot-pot/ soup place. Nice hot soup. And hot Sake (for her...)

True... but I'm sure that's not going to happen... at least not this winter...
But we'll see. She now has a good standing to take some legal action if she wants to force the issue if he doesn't try to improve things.
