I would love one with all the good parts from the FM Towns and VGA versions, with all dialogue restored for voice release, but the SE team would probably make all the backgrounds vaguely wonky and make the upclose portraits look like silly cartoon characters.

Yeah, it would be nice to have the voices and the FM Towns version combined... but I'd prefer a sequel to Loom. If it was the same length (and there's no reason why it should be longer), I don't think it would be more work to do than a Loom SE, which doesn't feel that neccesary.
I do love Loom, though. It's a good game to play with a friend.

That's the most ideal situation. I was hoping all the Grossman talk of Loom last year would lead to some kind of continuation. I definitely feel like a lot more could be done with the world of Loom. The somewhat sudden ending of the first game always bothered me as a kid, and hearing about Forge and The Fold only makes sense why it ended like that.

A Playstation Move version where you 'conduct' the spells. Ho ho! That would be a mistake.

I dunno. The game was kind of short. Maybe if they added new content.

They just need to add the FM-Towns version to Steam. You really need the voiced version and the version with the full text both available, because they're different enough experiences to work as companion pieces.
