How do I download vids

I was trying to put a video onto my mp3 player and I need to put the dvd on my computer. Question is how do I put the video on my computer? I am on Windows 7 (64 bit)

Are you talking about ripping a DVD, then converting it to another format?

Kind of but when you rip don't you remove it from the cd, but either way Windows Media Player won't give me the rip option for it.
