I dont like it. I dont want my characters to be related, in fact most will be enemies or different species to each other, I dont want to be gimped by this. Yea I wanted a second name but not this, its like asking for a rasher of Bacon, and they drop a 200 lb pig on your plate lol.
also, with people saying "You dont like it? hide it". thats kind of a slap in the face after we asked for surnames, yet the way they've implemented it means we wont use it. but everyone who doesn't even care, will lol.
And lets say we have surnames, Most Sith have the Honorific Darth, then a single name signifying what kind of Sith they are... I mean If Luke went DS, he wouldn't be called Darth Vader II, he or his master would meditate with the darkside and his name would become known.
i like:
* option for last name
* being rewarded for playing alts
i don't like:
* only option for last name must be shared between characters of different species and factions
* cannot activate system until end of chapter 1 (reportedly around level 30), forcing me to grind through levels to get one of my preferred names before it is taken.
make legacy a title, and give a separate option to choose a last name.
