DotT: Only sound or subtitles with DOSBox

Hello there,

This is my first post, so, please don't be mean. I recently purchased the CD-Versions of "Day of the Tentacle" and "Sam and Max hit the road". I am using DOSBox to run them, and naturally have initial problems:

I can only either hear the characters voices or I can display the subtitles, but not both at the same time.

Before posting this, I already tried google and searched this forum. The best I could find was that this question was already posted once:

But since, to me, the question was left unanswered, I would like to ask again. I hope you can help me. Thank you in advance.

Solved the problem myself already. You can toggle between "Voice and text", "text only" and "voice only" by hitting CTRL + T while the game is running. Sorry, for the bother.

Try using ScummVM instead of DOSBox -- that should fix all your problems: http://www.scummvm.org/

If you copy the CD contents to your HD and point ScummVM to the folder then you can run the games like that. You can also access different rendering and ratio options (e.g. like this http://www.scummvm.org/data/screensh...0_8_0-full.png)
