no one likes the pop up ads, but if you would like to help pay the bills then they might get taken down.

question

Maybe this should be the start of a new poll............

how many of us have really ever clicked (intentionally) on any pop-up ad that has come up? I know I never have, and that includes more than just this site.

Sometimes I don't understand the whole "advertising" world. Yeah sure I know about the "amazing x-10 camera" as many of you also do , but quite simply, I've been conditioned pavlovian style to HATE the little buggers. I will never buy one, and if I saw one at a friends house I would smash it to pieces.

I think the ad world knows this to some extent to, cuz they try to trick you into clicking on their ads, by the graphical design of some of them. It's pretty lowdown in my book to put a fake "X" button in the corner of an ad, don't you?

I guess my point is, these ads do NOTHING for me, and I don't see them doing anything for anyone else I know. What keeps them around?

PS I would pay a small fee to access the forums here, not a lot, but something on the order of 30 bucks a year would be my limit, if it meant the stinking ads would go away.

I've clicked a few of those ads, the ones on the bottom right of the screen are the most useful...but that 'watch shreck on your computer' that is a lie. I tried to sign up for it, and they needed a credit card number. The price isn't bad though...

If the popup ads bother you, download a program called WebWasher.

Download from here

The more ads clicked, the better rates the LFnetwork gets on ads. The better the rates, the less ads. Get it? Start clickin'

We had a board once which allowed voluntary online donation and succeeded in getting rid of the pop-ups. Another board went to banner ads, which people didn't mind as much due to their inobtrusiveness. People clicked on them freely just to help out.

I'll admit, though, that colon polyps ad is a little unnecessary.

If only I was a little quicker on the draw

Do you use Kazaa?

Some of the pop-ups you get while surfing arent even from the pages u are visiting...

Also..I dont mind the pop-ups.

What I DO mind is when i idle on a page, go to take a piss, come back and have 30 of the same exact pop-up.

I think banner adds are a better idea. I'm not bothered by them and often take a look at them to see what they advertize. The pop-ups just annoy me and I close them before I even look at them.

If you are receiving Ads by cinemaP-1.3cV08.12 while surfing then it is possible that your PC is attacked by malicious adware. If you want to get rid of it then you need to scan your system with Automatic Ads by cinemaP-1.3cV08.12 Removal Tool which will definitely solve your PC problems and stop these ads completely,
