YouTube Video

For some part you don't have control, for other parts you do... but it doesn't cut to black, the camera doesn't go shot, reverse shot, it's cinematic but it's fluid from cutscene to gameplay to a quick qte to gameplay with cinematic camera jazz happening. And this really isn't a bad thing, it's actually quite fun. I really hope 1313 captures this kind of thing... cause it's awesome.

And just to make the point, just because you don't have control 100% of the time doesn't mean it's not seamless. The transition between all of what's in the video is seamless. The game progressed through several different things without skipping a beat.

Yeah, I must say I agree with Lynk, it could be pretty awesome and visceral. I wouldn't mind some experimenting of their own, though. Trying to delve into this deeper or develop techniques of their own. They have ILM support and expertise, after all.

Pretty much @ CAD

This is LA's chance to experiment and surprise us with something new or different.

I'm curious about this one but I'll wait until I have more information. Mostly due to mature storylines, I'll say I'm cautiously optimistic.

Considering trying out (or returning to) SWTOR? You may as well go through my link and help get me some SWTOR referral points!

Its not the Clone Wars era, and it seems to have realistic graphics... thats enough for me, I honestly thought we were gonna get cartoon network kid stuff forever. I'm optimistic

We had two The Force Unleashed games and The Old Republic with no TCW-related game in the meantime, so I don't understand where that "cartoon network kid stuff forever" comes from.

Assuming you're talking about The Clone Wars, that is.

The Clone Wars is the flagship project of Star Wars now, you wont find a picture of Han Solo on StarWars.com (btw I love the prequels, some think my distaste for the clone wars stems from a hatred for the prequels), the Old republic is "The Clone Wars 3,300BBY" and the Force unleashed was released before the Clone Wars (Its sequel was an ill conceived fan service, and disappointment)

For future reference, you and I will never agree on this old, old, argument, you know I hate the Clone Wars and everything it has spawned and destroyed, and you are its Champion, our discussing it is annoying the rest of the forum members

Fair enough, but counting flash games is not a good strawman.

Just do it, then.

P.S: Just found it funny how you all of a sudden got rid of your TOR avatar and sig just after saying "the Old republic is "The Clone Wars 3,300BBY".

Back on-topic.

Actually I was being facetious about avoiding talking to you, hence the smiley face. RE my Avatar, I just started reading Legacy: Volume I again, I actually Love playing The Old Republic, but its still crafted to bring in the TCW crowd.

It's over? I was expecting the two of you to suddenly kiss. How disappointing

It wasn't so much that the Clone Wars era was bad, I mean some of the earlier Clone Wars era games were quite good... it's just that the quality suddenly dropped and LA and friends were simply crapping out as many cheaply made games as they could to try and cash in on that particular era.

It sounds like LA is serious when it comes to Star Wars 1313, whether they'll live up to it is another thing entirely, but I'm willing to give them a chance on this despite all of the really shocking things they've done in recent years.

Of course, it's not going to take all that long for us to wait and see since E3's just around the corner

surprised it's not lego battlefront. can't wait! maybe we will get a force unleashed 3 as well.

Battle is a pure form of expression. It is heart and discipline, reduced to movement and motion. In battle, the words are swept away, giving way to actions-- mercy, sacrifice, anger, fear. These are pure moments of expression.

I'm shocked that I'm not the only one who thinks that.

I'm liking the direction that this game is headed. Something tells me it's actually going to be good, but it'll take forever to release.

I imagine it will be a January 2013 release, the date being 1/3/13 (in American date format)

I'm excited to see the gameplay footage tonight.

Hopefully the game will not be a flop and we get something that has a sort-of a Deadspace/Mass Effect Feel, but is completely new and awesome.

Got a very Uncharted meets Dead Space kind of feel from the gameplay and camera work.

But yeah, looks like it's gonna take quite a long time for this game to be released at this stage... some time in 2013, but definitely not early 2013.

Ok, I'll admit it. I liked a lot of what I saw. Some of the animations seemed a little off but I think this is quite a ways from seeing a release.

It certainly does look pretty, and I like that it's a mature rated game as well. I'm not a super big fan of the Uncharted games, so I hope they don't take too much inspiration from them.

Don't know how you can tell it's far away (unless you consider a year from now far away, which by today standards isn't. Damn, it's the time span I'll have to wait for GoT third season to air), but I totally buy the seamless gameplay-cutscene transitions they were talking about now.

I'm not too sure about the combat, though. It looks a little clanky and probably enjoys too much the cover feature. I hope they make it really dynamic.

Saw the gameplay footage, and I'm mildly excited. I loved Dead Space 2, and this certainly has a DS2 feel to it. However, at this point, I'm more looking forward to Dead Space 3 than this game.

Summed me up tbh. This looks meh at best.

E3 this year, in my opinion, has been terrible, with the only two significant things for me being the upcoming SWTOR content and Dead Space 3. Most things involved sport and or fitness...Microsoft's conference was filled with crappy gimmicks and EA made me cry when they showed no DA3 :L

Wasn't expecting anything huge out of this year's E3, so it hasn't been really disappointing for me. I like what I see with Tomb Raider, Watch Dogs, Call of Duty: Black Ops II and Splinter Cell: Blacklist.

And I like what I see in 1313 - by LA standards, this actually looks pretty gold. It at least looks like it's going to be a pretty game to watch (which is something I can appreciate about this generation of video games - even if they're terrible to play, they're at least watchable on YouTube).

The demo itself was running on a high-end PC, but the official line is that no platforms or release dates have been announced, so it's still technically up in the air.

True. But it wouldn't sound good if they advertise the game on a PC and release it on consoles only.
