Battle is a pure form of expression. It is heart and discipline, reduced to movement and motion. In battle, the words are swept away, giving way to actions-- mercy, sacrifice, anger, fear. These are pure moments of expression.

Had a revelation today...

Toronto's crack-smoking, drunken, ranting mayor Rob Ford

is...

Bender, after he became human.

It's the only explanation that makes any sense to his behavior, and the fact he still has a job and isn't behind bars right now.

It was when I bought it... 3+ years ago. A bit out of date now...

I'd need a mouse and a real keyboard to do any serious gaming... a trackpad and laptop keyboard wouldn't really pass muster.

Leaving tomorrow afternoon to visit my dad in Florida for a week.

I'm taking the week off from work when I get back, too... Get some things done around the house. Maybe visit my lady friend... see if that is likely to go anywhere.

I downloaded War Thunder from Steam. Pretty fun. Kinda like World of Tanks but for Planes.

They are adding in ground combat soon, and eventually naval warfare.

I also like how they have 3 "Difficulty" levels. Arcade (Howz planez fly?), Historical (I can get the plane off the runway and some more advanced manuvers), and Full Historical (I better know how to fly a goddamned plane).

Ed, I've used a wired USB mouse with my new laptop for stuff...not sure how a USB keyboard would work with a laptop, but that might work, as well.

I got a wireless USB nano optical mouse that works just fine. my Laptop is big enough to have a full sized keyboard with numpad. But a second keyboard shouldn't be an issue. it would be more of a processing power issue.

Friday spent some time with my Niece, she is a student at UW-Madison (GO BADGERS). Took her out to dinner with my wife, then had her join us at a PRP wine tasting. 12 wines, with occasional cheese or chocolate pairings. Ended up buying a spätlese (late harvest) Riesling, and an Argentinian Sweet red. My Niece liked the sparkling red. It was my niece's first wine tasting, and i think she was nicely warm by the time she was taken back to her dorm.

As a (late) Wedding present, she gave us a print of some framed artwork she made, where she used hand written words to create a picture. The Picture was a mans hands putting a ring onto a woman's hand. The Man's had is made up of the words "marry me" and the woman's hands are made up of the word "yes" and the air around the hands is made of the words "Love". very beautiful and very touching.

feeling like **** right now....a huge project for computer application is due tomorrow, also have an algebra quiz tomorrow that i NEED a good grade on, at least an A...also have a stupid powerpoint to prepare for wednesday as well as a slide presentation the professor wants, i have no ****ing clue what exactly im supposed to do with that...this ****ing guy i swear to god....

seriously considering quitting college this next semester and cracking down at the gym and getting in better shape, want to get my pt score high and my body in "fighting" shape...

decided ain't going to find a girl in college because they're mostly sluts that go there or they're already taken (all the ones worth going out with are)...

i just want to focus on my next step in my military career...as well as just doing the right thing and trying to get a girlfriend or at least make my relationships with my family and friends better. any schooling i do will be online courses...i retain the information better than i do in a classroom full of distracting children.

oh yeah and another thing i was at my post deployment yellow ribbon event this weekend...and they had information so yeah i got some info on getting myself some psychological help. lmfao. i dont know where i want to go with it, but i probably need help in every area of my life....relationship, financial, stress, anger, feelings of disconnection and anxiety around people.

well the one place i applied to for a security officer position is 40 hours/week 10.50/hour...at a distribution where one of my best friends works. seems like a good deal, if they'll let me hold off on starting until the semester is over. just gotta get references now. wondering if i am jumping the gun or if i should just chill for a few more months on the unemployment income-which i might add i the same amount i'd be making if i were to take the job. i would like some time off between college and work though...**** what should i do?!!!!

decided that i will go down there and apply for that job. i'll be making roughly what i'm getting on unemployment, plus it will add to my experience which i can put towards my private investigation license, also they have good benefits such as tuition reimbursement so i can use it to get act 235 certified (lethal weapons training course). my only concern is they may want me to work christmas, but my reason for being 'unavailable to work' that day is cause i was gone all christmas season last year, so hopefully they'll understand. i'll be available for work in 2 weeks....crazy crazy..

what's the point in a resume when these places have retarded fill in the blank ones. grrr...and they ask me to go as far back as 10 years on where i've lived. lame. anyways, i filled it out, ommitted one job (wells fargo) cause i was only there less than 3 months and it's irrelevant to the job i'll be doing. hopefully they will hire me on so i can start racking up experience. if not, i'll just go to the gym more...thinking of getting another gym membership except to planet fitness-it's closer and there is more cardio equipment there.

Remember that Seminar I took a month ago. With Debbie McCormick? and her Dad Wally Henry? Not to mention Erica Brown, who I curled with back in the 80s as part of the Junior Curling program at Madison.

The have just qualified to play in the Olympics. In fact, they are one of the FIRST US olympians to be selected to go to Sochi.

And they are both good friends of mine. Tho to be honest, I know their Dad's better.

I'm very thankful i got money coming in and no major debts to concern myself with.

able to do what i want whenever i want...that deployment paid off just as i planned it to.

going to try and ask this girl out tomorrow...see if she wants to go see "catching fire" with me. there's actually more single girls in my college than i thought.

I tend to "show up" for my league's special nights, the "Turkey Shoot" for Thanksgiving and the "Holiday Bonus" at Christmas (the league night penultimate to the last league night before either of these holidays, the bowlers with the most pins over average in each division gets a cash prize the next week), and I did again last night for this year's "Turkey Shoot", but, alas, I don't think I was enough over my average to get the men's "B" prize.

decided to take a new approach to my training/weight loss plan...and hit the treadmill. never really had success on it until now...before when i'd run it i'd be sore as hell because unaware, you're only supposed to run on the balls of your feet, not supposed to let the back of your ankle touchdown. at least from what i've read that seems to be what my problem is when i run. hoping and praying i can increase my speed gradually each time and by the time the pt test comes i can pass it without a problem.

Took a ride around Palm Beach with my dad today. We saw Rush Limbaugh drive by in a Bentley. We also drove past Tiger Wood's place.

It was a nice ride. Lots of giant mansions and collosal yachts. Gives one a sense of something to aspire to.

Not that I'll ever live there myself...

Drank too much last night. Made a mistake of drinking a beer with twice the ABV i normally drink. Had to call a cab, I blacked out on the way home

When I Got home, threw up, and spent a while trying to hold the walls up since they were moving and about to fall on me. Somehow stumbled into guest bedroom and fell asleep.

I successfully managed to get away with drinking during my lunch hour 3 out of 5 days this week. Shall we go for 5 out of 5 next week? One does need to have goals, after all.

Squander all my money buying Lear Jets, Bugattis, and entertaining young, trampy gold diggers.

Y'know... 'Cuz, why not? My life should look every bit as much like a hip-hop music video as the the next guy's...

I'm coming home with another guitar. A great sounding, nice playing Ibanez acoustic from the 70's.

I like it, but I don't really need it... But there's just no refusing my dad when he wants to give you something.

@keyan: used to do that all the time at walmart. mcdonalds cup filled with Tilt (watered down version of four loko before loko became popular) definitely made the customers more tolerable!

Battle is a pure form of expression. It is heart and discipline, reduced to movement and motion. In battle, the words are swept away, giving way to actions-- mercy, sacrifice, anger, fear. These are pure moments of expression.

Home again. It's cold here...

Why is traveling so exhausting? You really don't do much but sit or stand in line... but a 3-hour flight somehow chews up the whole day, and I'm always wiped out afterwards.
