Well it definitely looks smoother, but it... I don't know, something about the model makes it seem not "Bastila-like." Can't put my finger on it... In any case, the model itself is terrific.

Yeah great job so far, I think it's a huge improvement. I always thought the Bastila on the game cover looked way better than the in-game one, so thanks for bridging the gap!
It's fun to sometimes look through threads like these and see what some of you guys are up to. Keep the spirit alive!

Pretty good for UVW fixing & vert moving/adding. Now need to get it ingame. :P
Btw I was going to put SWTOR's Bastila head in KOTOR, but the model gets grabbed with no texture coords & ill-captured normal maps so I abandoned that idea.

Nothings really 'that' wrong with the body, plus it would just get swapped out for robes or armor ingame lol.
Improved head is ingame & weighted. Currently mucking around with the auroraflex which is a slow painfull process of tweaking, compiling, headfixing and then testing ingame lol.
Excellent work; the lips, nostrils, eyes and hair all look much more believable now, while staying true to her original. The only thing that seems off to me, and it's only personal preference, is that the slope of the bridge of her nose is too straight. The slight ski jump up turn of her original nose helps give her a youthful cuteness that we've all known for so long. The straight nose looks a little generic to me. She doesn't quite look like Bastila any more.
Now, it's your mod, so release it the way you want her to look. I'd still download it, and enjoy it
Though I downloaded your beta version, I was hoping for the "Sandra Bullock" version. As I can see little changed between your final version screenshots and the regular in-game Bastila, I probably won't be using it.
Does anyone else feel like we've had a "bait and switch" pulled on us?
As of 28APR13: I released a new small texture mod! Check it out here.
It seems as though it looks fine in the sun (Tatooine), but it gets darker in darkish places. I remember Dak wrote this tutorial up a year or so ago, detailing how to fix those issues with a custom gun model. 2 post's below Dak's tutorial, Darth DeadMan posted a different way to fix the lighting issue, and said it also worked with character models. So I'd assume if you did what Darth DeadMan specified then everything would be normal.
The truly fallen cannot return to the light. If someone "falls" and "returns," they never really, truly fell.

I posted that I was making an improved head based off of the cover art. If this head is not to your liking, then by all means don't download it but don't try to stir things up and say that there has been a "bait and switch" pulled here.
