Won't load saved games

I have the same problem(which did not exist yesterday)and Guybrush won't stand still when he deigns to appear at all which was the original complaint that I wanted to complain about.I got the patch but have not utilised it as yet.I also noticed before the game went even more haywire that when I set off for the harbor I would sometimes end up at the Wax Museum.

I solved my problem by disabling my joystick.

I had that problem but solved it by downloading DirectX 8
