help need so guy doesn't blow up

hey in one of the levels on Theed, when you are Obi Wan, you find one of those Trade Federation ships/planes/walkers/whatever the hell they are things down an alley way, there is also a couple of Naboo royal guards there, how do i free them and stop them from blowing up?

I forget how much it was when I got it, but it wasn't cheap. I think I got the PSX version first... then PC not long after. Since then, I threw my PSX away!
