The question is if it is going to be as good as the originals.

i don't think Harrison Ford will play if there is going to be a new Indy movie.
its the simple fact that he's too old but then again there are stuntman.

Yes, Steven Spielberg, Harrison Ford, and Kate Capshaw were approached at the Oscar's and they confirmed Indiana Jones 4.
Spielberg said the reason they waited so long to start this project was the script. He wanted to absolutely make sure that the script would live up to the quality of the previous three films.
So Harrison Ford will reprise the role of Indiana Jones, as well as Kate Capshaw, who will possibly reprise her Temple of Doom role of Willie Scott, but that is still unconfirmed. Sean Connery is supposed to make a cameo appearance as Indy's father again. And Karen Allen is supposed to make a cameo appearance as Marion Ravenwood. No word on John-Rhys Davies reprising his role as Sallah.
To explain the aging of the Characters, the film will be set in the 1950's, so that 16 years of "Indy time" has passed as well.
The Film is, as of now, scheduled for a Summer 2005 release.
May the road rise up to meet you,
May the wind be ever at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face
And the rain fall softly on your fields
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of his hand

Cool, they seem to have solved the aging of Harrison Ford then if 16 years has passed between the movies.
It will be interesting to see what the plot will be as well who will play the bad guys. If it's in the 50's, they can't really use nazis again...

My 3 films of Indy are really starting to get wasted...

I just hope they are able to recreate the humor that made the original 3 so great. For instance, in Raiders of the Lost Ark, when Indy is being shut in the room where he found the Ark, the woman is dropped in with him and falls on his head, screaming all the while at the snakes. Hilarious.

Hey, you don't have to be young to be an action hero. Sean Connery has proven that, he beats the hell out of the latest "Ack-shun hee rows" such as Brendan Fraser and The Rock.

I thought the first sequence of him walking through the pyramid thing in The Mummy Returns looked like it was ripped straight from an Indy movie.

Well, it's official. Ford got mad with the Producers and said he wasn't doing the movie, so they using Ben Afleck(s/p?) to play Indy. How gross is that. I'm really mad about this. I hate Ben Afleck.

Despite the fact that this is a joke, let's discuss him anyway
He's a cocky bastard..... I don't like him at all. Especially now that he's getting married to J-Lo.... when he goes on talk shows, he rubs it in everyones faces, saying that he can go home and make love to her whenever he likes.
ARGH! I HATE HIM!

as noted above, this has little to do with Jones, but affleck's ok in my book. Mostly because he's associated with Kevin Smith [mallrats, chasing amy, clerks, etc]
