*As the orbs pass over Marin's body, a pool of water begins to form under her.*

Idun: Good, the frost is melting at the proper rate. If need be they will zap the body to get the heart going.

*Raschel doesn't speak for a moment*

Raschel: I don't care what one of *you* have to say. I want to talk to Orthos. I can't help but wonder, if you creatures hadn't interfered in the first place, would any of this had happened?

----------

*Marin feels as if she is floating in a fog, numb. Slowly the clouds clear, and her thoughts begin to attach themselves to each other again*

What's happening...why can't I feel anything...

*She moves one of the lava creature's enormous hands*

That doesn't make any sense...why am I made of r... *Suddenly her thoughts coalsce with sharp clarity* ...oh God, I'm still in morph!

*After a moment of blind panic, she focuses on a mental image of her own body, hoping it wasn't too late*

If I've been asleep over two hours...I'll be stuck forever...no coming back...no, don't think that, concentrate...

*After a few seconds, the rock-hard pieces of her body begin to shift, creak and shrink. Slowly, over about a minute and a half, the dark color of dried lava on her skin changes to pale brown, her eyes change from red to chestnut, and the enormous creature she had become changes back to that of a small, mostly human girl*

Orthos: If you seek the cause, look to Heimdall's people. We're just trying to get this mess cleaned up. Did you ever think that maybe we didn't have to help mortals? But that's what we do. We need you as much as you need us. So don't yell at me. It's not my fault I can't talk anymore. And...Orthos won't remember this bit...but if this didn't happen....he would die.

*Orthos returns to normal*

Orthos: I'm sorry. It's finding it hard to cope. The Avatar is fearing Ragnarok. I don't know what it said, but I see it troubled you. We'll make it. We'll stop this. And then... well...I guess I've got some of my Atredian Birthright left. I'm going to go live there. Maybe you could...see me sometime....

Orthos: I don't know. But I'm not just going to bury myself before I'm dead. We have to keep at it. If we stop, all is lost.

*Guy walks into the room* The map has changed. It looks like we're heading for a planet named Enoy.

Raschel: *sighing* What's on Enoy?

Guy: A small mining colony. Small enough that the Aesir never destroyed it, it seems. It's one of the colonies furtherst into what you call the Outer Rim here.

Raschel: We should find the others.

*Elella arrives*

Elella: So what's the deal with this place?

Orthos: Don't know. I don't think I...

---------------------------------------------

Flashback

*A room on Byss. Orthos is about 13. Syrnl is looking at a galatic map with one of his apprentices*

Syrnl: There. Send him there. Maybe the mines of Enoy will contain the chaos. And maybe we'll need him someday

---------------------------------------------------

....ever heard of it....

Hal: Isn't Enoy a crystal mine, as in sabre crystals?

((OOS: Weirdness - that name isn't supposed to mean anything, but crystals ARE supposed to be mined there...did I unconsciously use an actual planet name?))

Guy: According to the archives I have access to, several different kinds of rare crystals are among the materials mined there. So perhaps some of these are 'sabre crystals'. *He heads out the door* I'm going to the sickbay, to alert the others.

((My answer: what.))

*With no urgent demands Heimdall goes to the upper level on the Asgardreid to relax. He enters the observation lounge and looks down at his left arm. The sleeve was ripped and the fabric was stained with blood.

Heimdall carefull pulls up His sleeve to reveal a nice gash. He must have gotten that during the commotion with the Sith, or maybe with the dwarves. Didn't really matter.

He continues to examine it when Svafa and Idun walk in. Idun is visibly drained and immediatly sits down with Savfa's help. Svafa then turns to Heimdall, see's his wound and goes over to him.*

Svafa: Let me see your arm.

Heimdall: It isn't that bad, I'll be fine.

Svafa: I'm sure it is but I still want to take a look at it.

Heimdall: Fine.

*Heimdall lays his arm on the center table and Svafa looks and it moving his arm around gently. She sees something pulling out som tweezers she gently pulls out a fragment of what looks like molten rock. She drops it on the table and looks for more, but finds none, and the Asgardried confirms that nothing else was in the wound. Svafa then bandages the wound.*

Svafa: Well your lucky, that fragment could have caused you to lose your arm. There will be a nice scar there but otherwise you will be find. I also would say to keep it easy.

*Heimdall looks at the fragment and then tosses it aside*

Heimdall: It's one of Hel's darts. I thought I caught a brief glimpse of her before the commotion.

*Guy finds the others in the sickbay and tells them what he told Orthos and the others. Next he goes to find Heimdall and Svafa*

*A large figure squats in a cave, mumuring to himself. Then suddenly, he stands up, and looks up to a hole where the starlight floods in*

????: He's coming. He's finally coming for us.

Asgardried, Hold, Guy's ship

*Once Guy was assured nothing could penetrate the cloak his ship was encased in, he went to his ship's computer systems and cautiously opened a net link to an information database. This link - like everything that went through 'warp space' - was traceable, but it was a chance that had to be taken.

Using his link, he opened a data stream from the Shadow databases. He entered his decryption codes and entered the systems.

It was fortunate that it was considered normal for a Shadow to disappear for even months at a time, especially during times of upheaval like this, so there was little chance that they would find his actions suspicious. But if anyone else was looking, there could be problems...

There were things he needed to know, on the other hand.

He searched for the Aesir. Interestingly, the name was not unknown. However, there was no data on any of the specific characters whose ship he was now flying in, confirming what he'd expected. The data on the Aesir made it clear that the Shadows had dedicated very little thought to them. The fight with the Asgardried was recorded in it, but apparently the higher-ups didn't think this 'new' factor had any prospects worth pursuing. A few seemed a bit interested in the difference between this newly discovered race's technology level and the previously recorded technology levels of this particular dimension, but it seemed the Aesir had been written off as stealthy interdimensional immigrants.*

So they don't have any special interest in the Aesir, or this ship. We aren't targets.

Then who is following us?

Near the Sith temple

*A large Jotun carrying a flaming sword surveys the damage. At his feet lay a couple of Sith that were struck down in the encounter. One in paticular seemed to have his face riped off.*

Jotun: I'm not impressed. We need a stronger army to attack them.

*Hel pulls down a Sith hood*

Hel: Be patient Surt, watch.

*The slain Sith begin to move again, the tissue of the one with the missiing face rebuilds itself, soon it is in almost perfect shape. Although it is mared a little.*

Hel: Your army will not permantely die until the last of them is gone. With enough time you will win.

*Surt laughs and hits the one with the marred face. He goes flying into a building and snaps his neck until it is repaired*
